We were at DL/CA June 18-22. We ate mostly offsite but did try a few in-park foods. There were DH, dd-19, & myself.

Rancho del Zocalo: Red chile enchilada platter, chicken burrito sonara, beef burrito sonara. All of these were very good. Portions were large. This counter service has a drink station.

Carnation Cafe: Main St cheeseburger & fries. DH & I split sour dough bacon cheese melt & extra fries. All was very good and plenty of food. This is a table service restaurant. We walked up, requested an inside table, and were accommodated within five minutes. Very good service as well.

Mint Julep bar: We just had beignets here. They were warm and very good.

Overall we found the limited food we ate to be better than most comparable offerings at WDW.

Thanks for the mini mini review. Looks like we will have to try Rancho on our next trip.

I'll add 2:

Plaza Inn fried chicken breast, biscuit, side salad. The chicken was good, a little over fried, but I'd prefer that to under. The biscuit wasn't the best biscuit ever, but for $1.29 at DL it was great. The side salad wasn't a great value for it's size at $4.39, but it was bigger than the side salad at BP&P in DCA, and bigger. But the lettuce was crispy, all the veggies were fresh and it was nicely chilled. I kind of wished it had radishes like the salad at Golden Horseshoe, which is becoming my favorite in park salad. For a theme park meal I was happy with what I ordered and will add this to my DL dining rotation.

Hungry Bear crispy chicken sandwich and fries. Just no. The CM proudly informed me that the FGT sandwich was replaced by 2 vegetarian options, veggie burger with or without cheese. (I wish "veggie burger also available" was actually on the menu and I didn't have to ask.) But I thought I'd try the chicken sandwich anyway. It was way over fried, and not in any kind of redeemable way, but in the too tough to chew without effort way. There was 1 tiny tomato slice, I'm not a big raw tomato fan, but even 2 slices that size would have struggled to cover half the sandwich. There was a giant piece of iceberg lettuce overflowing the bun that was limp and there was a quarter size dab of the supposed honey mustard sauce listed on the menu. It was 3 bites before I tasted the sauce, then realized there wasn't any more, so I used a mustard packet. Overall it was mostly chicken and bread and very bland. A spicy chicken sandwich would be good here. There's plenty of bland options on that menu, and a turkey wrap and regular burgers. A spicy chicken or buffalo chicken sandwich would do well here without turning off people who can't handle spice and add something unique. The fries were kind of limp and really salty. I kind of missed the sweet potato fries. I was never a fan of the slaw, though I probably would have put it on the sandwich had I ordered it. I think upgrading to onion rings is the way to go here.

Penny arcade English toffee. I opted for the pre-packaged instead of the one large piece from the case because I wanted to take it to share. I was really good. Not Littlejohn's at the Farmer's Market good, but good. We ended up breaking it up and putting it on ice cream. This will definitely be something I take home again.
