Does anyone know if the mini-golf by Blizzard Beach is wheelchair accesible? We get free mini-golf tickets but our youngest needs a manual wheelchair.
Thanks!Diane
If no one on the boards can give you an answer, here are some places to try: Link to the "Contact us" page for the official Disney site. At the top left hand side of the page, there is a link to their email address. I've emailed them several times with good luck.
I also found a phone number for WDW Recreation: (407) 939-7529 (407-WDW-PLAY). Recreation is the heading that they use for the things like miniature golf, boating, etc.
I think that both miniature golf places are wheelchair accessible. We were going to go to the Fantasia one once, but DD who uses a wheelchair wouldn't get out of our van (she said it was too hot). I don't remember for sure, but I don't think we would have even tried to go there if it wasn't accessible. The Winter-Summerland miniature golf is newer, so if only one is accessible, I think that would be it.
Please let us know what you find out (and if you go, whether it was fun).
In case anyone's interested, the official word from Disney is that the mini-golf course is wheel chair accessible. They responded to the e-mail that I sent them and I thought that I'd pass the info along to anyone that might be interested. Only a few more days until our trip!
