Mini-DIS meet in Columbus area? UPDATE: Details on p. 2

I need to go to Columbus, Ohio next weekend, and wasn't sure of my schedule so I didn't post before now. It appears that I will be getting into the airport at about 5:00 pm Saturday night and am staying in Worthington, Ohio. It now appears that I have no obligations on Saturday night if there are any Columbus area DISers that might be interested in getting together. I don't know the area well, and I won't have a car, but if there are interested DISers, maybe we can work something out.

I'm almost 100% positive that I'm available then I am not sure my DH will be joining as the Ohio State game @ Northwestern will be starting at 7 pm (maybe I can drag him though). I have a car and I don't mind driving around so I can give you a ride if we decide to go far from your hotel Were you looking to maybe have dinner somewhere?

Marla sent me a link - I didn't see your original post. Keep me in mind. I'm teaching a Cub Leader Basic course that day, should be finished by 3:00, then have to swing over to Delaware (just north of Worthington) to order my son's senior pictures. PM me Dr. P and Elaine with details. I'll try to bring my Disney somewhat dysfunctional husband along. Maybe some of the magic will start rubbing off on him prior to our DIS CON II trip!

I have convinced my DH to go with me. He complained that he will miss the OSU game, but I personally don't care since I think he watched enough football as it is

Maybe take in the zoo or aquarium & head back to the house....
or next year we could do a red's game at the new stadium...

Cincy is a fairly short drive for me... usually about 1 1/2 hours (2 at most). Very easy for me to do in a day Name the time and I'll be there

Cubs and the Reds!!! Ummmmm, do you think that any Chicago DISers will actually travel to the Queen City to see our new ballpark? I would love to meet Dan the Man. Talking to him on the phone just is not the same as if I could actually see him in person.

I don't know if we could get any Chicago people to come for a Cincy meet. We could always try as it is only about 300 miles from Cincy to Chicago Just start a thread sometime and see what you get
