Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Welcome Home! :grouphug:

I would love to hear all about it!

I'm sure it was fun coming back and sharing all the details.
Brooklynn must be very happy to see Mommy & Daddy and Bella.

I'm glad you had great weather. :thumbsup2

It will be nice to have you back on here...:surfweb:

Yesterday, I was sitting in mid 80's weather while watching Brooklynn play in the kiddie pool. Today, I woke up to to mid 40's and watched Brooklynn go to school in long sleeves, pants, and a jacket. As much as I do love the fall, I could have taken a few more Florida days. I think, though, that the wind that was stirring up as we left was bringing in some cool air for Orlando, too.

I have spent the day playing with Bella. We've played with baby dolls and meerykats, and we watched some Dizhy Wuhld youtube videos. We played 'nastics, because she loves to flip and flop and jump and hop. She went swimming in the bathtub after eating a bowl of cheese puffs. She didn't want to take a nap, and since she has just gotten rid of the paci within the past few days, I didn't push it. She fell asleep on the couch eventually.

I very much enjoyed my trip with Brooklynn. It was nice to talk with her and let her make some decisions about what we would do for much of the trip. On Epcot day, she wanted to pick flowers that had fallen to the ground around the flower beds. She wanted to swim a lot. She wanted to eat yogurt, Doritos, and a banana for lunch. She wanted me to rub her legs and feet and bedtime and scratch her back. I was happy to just be there for her for those special days. We didn't go too far past normal boundaries, though. She didn't ask for everything she saw, and she didn't get everything she asked for. She brushed teeth and took baths and didn't eat only sugar. I don't think those five days have ruined her for life. :thumbsup2 I am very grateful that Jill and John let me have that time with her. She may not remember it, but I will treasure it forever.

Kay, on the other hand, was at the end of her rope with Breanna and said she would never do that again. She saw some very obvious issues that her son and his ex need to work on with their daughter. I got a text today saying how glad she was that she did not have to listen to a whining four year old today. I think it is so sad that she could not go and enjoy her own grandchild any more than she did. It's partly her high strung personality and partly Breanna's lack of discipline. I am sorry for my friend that she did not have as good a time as she really could have had. There were some good moments for them, but there was far too much craziness, too. I hope that now that they are apart, they will be able to think more clearly and happily about the fun part.

I will be going back to Nashville tomorrow after morning traffic is out of the way. I will miss my little girls until next time. As far as I know, they are coming up for the trunk or treat dinner at church the last Saturday of this month.

We will continue on the summer trip tomorrow after I unpack and get back into real world mode again. Have a good evening, all!

Welcome home MeMom! I'm so glad you got to have those special moments with Brooklynn & that you enjoyed them so much!

I know what you mean....it's chilly here too!

WDW at any temp would be lovely though. Hugs for having to come back!

Glad to hear you and Brooklynn enjoyed the time.
Too bad Kay had her hands full with her grandaughter.

I know some adults who wouldn't behave any better...that's why we travel just ourselves.

I see you are enjoying some time with Bella..:)

I wanted you to see my new ticker!!! :yay:

We booked a cruise on the end of our stay next August. :woohoo:

Glad you're back, MeMom, and had a great time with Brooklynn. Thank you for the picture texts, they brought much needed Disney joy into my days! You and Brooklynn are truly blessed to have gotten to spend that time together. :goodvibes

I feel sorry that Kay wasn't able to have the same experience with her granddaughter. Hopefully Breanna's behavioral issues will get better over time and maybe they can try it again in a few years.

Welcome back. I am glad you were able to make magical memories with Brooklynn. Then today you were able to spend precious time with Bella.:goodvibes

Sounds like you had a lovely trip with Brooklynn, I bet she will remember this time with you! It's very special. :goodvibes

Welcome home Memom! I can't wait to hear all about your adventures with Brooklyn! I'm sorry to hear about Kay and her granddaughter though. I'm just like you, and can't stand the constant drama and arguing. That would have made me crazy. My mom thinks I am too strict with my DD sometimes, but that is exactly why. I don't want to raise a child that people don't want to be around. And what's sad is that at four years old, it really isn't her fault. She's just doing what she has learned is acceptable. I hope it didn't put too much of a damper on your trip. I think my Mom should have gone on that trip with you and then maybe she would appreciate my parenting style.

Glad you are almost back home- one short trip to make in the AM.

I am sure all the time you spend with the girls on a regular basis and the previous trips had you and Brooklynn in "synch". Glad it all worked out.
Travelling with young ones if you are not used to it can be torture.

Can't wait to hear all about it. :goodvibes

Aww, that's great you had a nice, relaxing trip with Brooklynn! Hope your transition back into the real world is an easy one! I fell behind with this TR a while ago when school started, but I'm definitely going to follow along when you start updating again. :goodvibes

Welcome home, Memom!! Sounds like you had a good trip! I liked seeing the pics on FB. That's too bad that Kay's trip was so stressful. Hopefully, they will get to try again another time. It's hard traveling with little ones especially if you aren't around them all the time at home. (I don't know how much Kay sees her GD or is around her)
I know what you mean about the weather....yesterday it was in the 80's here and today it was only in the 60's!! Tonight it's supposed to get in the 40's!! Brrr!
Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Welcome home MeMom!:goodvibes

I'm glad to hear that you and Brooklynn had a great trip and got to relax and have some special moments together. It's too bad that Kay didn't get to have the same kind of experience. I'm excited to hear about the trip! Sorry your weather isn't nicer, it's cold and rainy up here too.

It sounds like a lovely time for you & Brooklynn. Have a safe trip back to your home.

That's great that you had some time with Bella when you got back. I always loved "nastics" when I was younger too. I could do a backbend with the best of them. Not so much now...:rolleyes1

Welcome home!!!

That's so great that you had an opportunity to go with Brooklynn. I know my mom would love to be able to do that with Riley. :goodvibes

Welcome home, Memom. I'm glad you got to spend some good quality time with Brooklynn. I have a feeling she will remember more than you think. ;)

Hi MeMom! Glad you and Brooklynn enjoyed your trip!! :goodvibes I'm sure she WILL remember it and treasure it, as well. Sorry to hear Kay didn't quite have the same experience.

Can't wait to see all the pictures...enjoyed the previews from Jill on FB. :thumbsup2

Welcome home MeMom and Brooklynn!!! I'm glad you and Brooklynn had a great trip together. I've heard a little from my dad. He enjoyed meeting up with everyone. I can't wait to hear more about your trip and see all the pictures.

Welcome back!!! I'm glad that you and Brooklynn had such a wonderful time together! I'm sure that she is going to have fond memories of it as well! :goodvibes
