Toy Story Mania!! Yay!!!!! Loved the pictures and your scores look about like mine! hahaha

:bday::bday::bday:Happy Birthday Brooklynn!!!:bday::bday::bday:

Wow - you must have really gotten to DHS early to get so close to the turnstiles and RD! That is one park that we are always sure to make it for RD because of our love for TSMM, but we have not been that close to the front! But then again, we're not really morning people.

:cheer2:Happy 5th Birthday Brooklynn!!:cheer2:
I hope your day is filled with lots of  and pixiedust: !

I have had very little DIS time lately, so I am only to keep up here and there with different reports. I don't normally do a lot of pre-trips, but rather I wait for the real trip reports. If I had the time, I'd enjoy reading a lot more, but there are a million other things to do right now.

Hope you can peek in on that teacher and get a Disney fix occasionally.

Oh, it's okay, MeMom, probably once school starts for me, it's going to be hectic trying to keep up with my TRs, especially with sports and all. So I totally understand. I was just putting in a little plug for my other TRs ;)

Totally, I was already planning to stop by a few times anyway :teeth:

First, I want to wish a very Happy Birthday to Brooklynn!

:bday: party: :bday:

Now, onto the update...

I love your TSM pictures! I can't believe you were even able to take those pictures while trying to play the game. That's skill right there. And to really get a high score on that ride, you just got to shoot like crazy, the more you shoot, the higher the score. That works for Buzz as well :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

First off want to wish Miss Brooklynn a very very Happy 5th Birthday!!!!!!! :yay::yay::banana::banana::banana::cheer2::cheer2:
I am just not getting the chance to get caught up after being at our favorite place last week!!! It was sooo hot but a good time none the less! Did I ever think it would not be a good time? No never a bad time had!!!!! I am sorry you have been so stressed with the beginnings of a new school year I will try and think happy thoughts for you to get past labor day when you will hopefully have a new teacher to help out!!!! Love the fact that the wait time for TSM said 5 MINUTES!!!!! AHHHHHHH :scared1: that never happens haha!!! Well I hope you have a good day today at school :goodvibes

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!

I think your scores on TSM are pretty darn good! Especially since you were taking pictures during part of the ride!

Bella's wind-blown hair was too cute! :cutie: Glad everything got fixed up in time for the mad TSM dash!

We've been in every section. Now we have to work on going for every building. So far, we've covered Jukebox, Tramp, Play-Doh, Mickey Phone, Big Wheel, Walkman, Computer, and Roger Rabbit - some more than once. We've almost made it to every icon.

You guys really do love Pop! :goodvibes I'm trying to remember which I've been in, but I can only remember my first year. We were in the building to the right of Roger Rabbit, 4th floor, corner room.

I totally agree, though this past school year, one of the ninth grade teachers, whom I've known since I was like 6, is obsessed with Disney and she had Disney stuff everywhere in her room. Sadly, I never had her as a teacher and couldn't have had her because she didn't teach my math class. Our spirit week theme for our grade this year was also Disney

Just had to add that in... though I'm in the dark this year when it comes to that... though I think my math class is right next to hers. SCORE!

That's neat, but too bad you never had her! My 6th grade teacher loved WDW. I remember her talking about the House of Innoventions during class one time and I felt so in the loop because I knew all about it. :cool2: I remember when I first started 7th grade, we were writing our "What I did this summer" essays and I wrote about Disney World. Turns out my English teacher was there about a week after we left! She told me about how her little girls did BBB & we talked about Splash Mountain. Then in 8th grade, my English teacher had a little Pirate Mickey near her desk and she would talk about Walt Disney a lot. She also told us she worked there seasonally at the ESPN Club.

None of my High School teachers mentioned Disney before. :sad2: But on a happier note........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYNN!! princess:

Happy 5th Birthday Brooklynn! Hope you have a wonderful day.

MeMom if I lived closer I would love to be a classroom volunteer. I use to sub at my kids school years ago. I only did K, 1st and 2nd. I have to say though they ran over me. But I love little kids and babies so I didn't mind to much. I didn't enjoy dealing with the parents though. I found there were two kinds of parents (in my limited experience)that got to me the kind who don't give a hoot about helping you help their kids or the kind that their child is never wrong and blames everything on everyone else. I can't imagine having to deal with all the red tape also. Teachers work hard for their money for sure.

Hope things get better.

Happy birthday, Brooklynn!! I always forget that today there are multiple birthdays; my cousin, my aunt (different sides of the family), & Brooklynn!

MeMom, sorry the school year is off to such a rough start with all the testing. I have SO much to say about putting kids through tests as a means of assessing them (especially since I personally don't test well at ALL), and putting all the pressure on the teachers, but I won't get into it here.

I am back and all caught up!

I hope your week improved, and that they do indeed get one of the three out of your room. Two years ago I had two boys in the same class who could not be in class together (sixteen year olds no less). One was a fool and the other acted off his behavior. Remarkably, I was able to get one moved without too much ado. Normally, I can handle most behaviors but this was beyond any hope of having a normal class. Luckily, the worst of the two was the one to leave.

I head back for my week of we-are-still-not-making-AYP talks in one week. Our scores haven't been released, but it isn't likely that this would be the year... Consider your little ones and where they are, then add ten years. If they can't meet mastery in second grade, how on earth would they do it in eleventh? :sad2: My population at the high school has the mix of the kids (when they are older) from the elementary with 86% free and reduced averaged with the others that are between 22% and 31%. It is depressing, but I will love my job - at this time of the year, I don't want to go back, but once the routine starts back up, I am again in love...

On to happier thoughts--
Your Nemo room is "righteous, dude." I try to put Disney elements in 11th grade (and I have a group of 10th graders too). Disney Friday for music at the start of class was a hit last year. I'll have to see about a bulletin board, but at the hs level my bulletin boards are less exciting.

Happy, Happy Birthday to Brooklynn! Jill- I love what you call a not-exciting cake! It was awesome!

Great pictures of Fantasmic. I didn't take my telephoto lens to the park so my pictures aren't very close. It is realistic to being in the back row though!

I love the colors of Pop! We didn't stay there before DVC, but I hope to sometime. Dh asked about Magical Express and suitcases if we fly in late and stay at Pop. (I love that this is an option...) I think my girls would get a kick out of it!

Praying for a smooth school year for you. When you have time hop over to my TR- I understand how swamped your are so no worries. Also, nothing too exciting yet anyway!

-I was thinking about getting into teaching when I was younger, but I ultimately decided to go into midwifery!
-Sorry to hear about the test scores :(

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY PRINCESS BROOKLYN!!!!! :cool1::cheer2:princess::clown::cake:party:party::bday::bday::dumbo:::MinnieMo

-Bo needs to put on a few pounds! He looks mighty Anorexic to me :goodvibes
-Ya know...I've never done rope drop at HS....is it worth it? I'm thinking of trying it on my next trip!
-I love toy story mania! I've only been on it once, but as soon as I rode it, I fell in love :lovestruc
