Anyone know why the 7DMT ride is temporarily closed? I have been watching the MDE app and seems to close several times a day.

I apologize if this is duplicate but I didn't see it anywhere.

Been having a few mechanical problems since it opened, but the main reason it seems to be closing down quite a bit is that it cannot operate in the rain/thunderstorms and you're in Florida in the summer.

Thank you. I was hoping it was more thunderstorms and I have been stalking the weather as well as MDE. We are really hoping that we can ride without any issues next month

Yup, it was a thunderstorm. I was at MK today and there was a pretty good thunderstorm that lasted well over an hour. I was one of the last people to ride the Mine Train before it started. I felt TERRIBLE for the people who had waited for so long and then were sent away. When you look at wait times, see if the other outdoor rides also don't have wait times, you can bet its a storm.

Talked to a friend today who was there a week ago and she said it broke down "frequently" while they were there - but she said they were able to use their FP's when it reopened.

It's normally down for weather. If there's any sort of lightning in the area or a storm incoming they'll close it down. They do however allow people to still wait in line while it's closed if they believe the storm will pass. That happened when I rode it for my 3rd time. We waited about 30-45 min in line for it to open back up.

They will keep it open if it's lightly raining..which is what I got to ride it in, which was fun.

For the last week we have been having severe thunderstorms (not the normal summer pm shower) that has lasted a couple hours with lots of rain and lightening.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that Disney opened a new outdoor attraction in Florida right at the start of summer! I know they didn't have much of a choice but you've got to admit it's kinda funny!

They obviously didn't take this into account when they planned the attraction, lol.

My Brother in Law just return home and he said it was also down when he was there last week. The CM told him they were trying to get the bugs out of the coaster, supposedly as the above said it's mechanical problems with FL weather.
