Sorry, but that's not true. Disney hasn't necessarily lost attendance, but Universal has gained at a large rate. What the means is, people are still coming to WDW, but they aren't spending all their time there, I.E., Disney is losing money to Universal.
No one can predict the future, but Islands of Adventure has been gaining around on both Animal Kingdom and DHS in recent years. When the expansion of Harry Potter opens at Universal, it is quite likely attendance at IoA will surpass both. If that happens, it will be a HUGE embarrassment for Disney.
Agreed. A huge number of American travelers take their vacation in 1 week increments. (Typically 9 days, comprised of a 5 day work week with a weekend on either side). It's not like they're suddenly going to start staying 2 more days into the next week.
