This in my fault for not getting my FP+ when they opened up for my trip and the FB+ for the 7D MineTrain are no longer available. Can I get FP that morning for later that day or beeline to the ride and do it first? Also we are doing a MNSSHP, will the ride be open that night? I understand that my miss-planning might cause us to do the stand-by but I thought that I could at least ask?

Thank you

- Getting day of FP+ is nearly impossible. We have gotten in ones overlapping times but not a group together.
- Get there at rope drop and go straight to the ride.
- Yes, it will be open at parties. It will still be a busy line, not sure how much party time I'd give up for it, maybe at the end of the night.

Late night at the party should be very reasonable. I did it twice last year with a very minimal wait the first time and about 20 minutes the second time as a lot of people filled into it.

In December we managed a ride at about 11am, it's not always madness!

I've not done this myself, but I've watched the SB line drop to looking reasonable between about 10:15 and 11:00. It's that little bit of time when the ride has taken in all the RD people, but the late park arrivals haven't shown up yet.

Be there before rope drop, follow the herd, and wait might be around 20 minutes. Or stay late until park closing. We got in line right before park closing, posted standby 40 minutes, but we could see how short the line was, only waited 11 minutes. Interesting about that sweet spot between 10-11am, makes sense if the rope droppers have moved on to other rides and late sleepers haven't shown up yet. But I imagine an influx of guests returning with FP could make the line unpredictable.

I've yet to ever secure FP for SDMT, unfortunately. I've been checking here and there, and I've been able to secure ONE FP for it, but for only one guest out of our group of 6. It won't let me copy to other guests, and it's been rather irritating.

We've ridden it one time since it opened, and that was during Wishes. The stand-by line dropped from 70 minutes to 40 minutes, and we went for it - it actually ended up being less than a 30 minute wait. It may have been a fluke, but whatever! LOL

Thank you all for the help, we are thinking of doing Rope Drop because we have never done one so I think that is going to be our first option but will definitely try the end of the night before closing.

Did you miss a 60 day window or 30 day? Because I have an annual pass and check regularly at 30 days and don't see any mine train FP. Actually I couldn't get any for 59 days out. The window is brief to grab passes for that ride. So don't beat yourself up too much. I wouldn't say it was your fault, but rather the result of an unforgiving system.

We ran straight to the ride, having got to the parks right at opening. The sign said 50 minutes. took us maybe 20 minutes to get through.

From your ticker it looks like you're 26 days out? If so, that puts you past mid September which I believe is still one of if not the slowest time of the year. You may luck out and find plenty of times when the standby line is 30 minutes or less.
