Awh! I'm sorry for the fail on your save the dates that was such a cute idea! Too bad "the man" always has to get in the way, and I'm also sorry about your photographer, I can't believe she'd be so unreliable. Either way Congrats on HK graduation!

I love them so far! I wish WDW would allow pics inside the parks... maybe one day Or I'll just have to make a trip up there and do it someday

I love the first and the third dress. I am a firm believer that you will instantly know when you have found the perfect dress. This happened to me both for my actual wedding and also for the vow renewal. I just knew that this was the dress for me and did not want to look at any others after this.

I am sorry that your STD plan did not work out. I like the idea of just having this printed onto normal card stock and turning it into a magnet. Are you familiar with the Xyron Creative Station? I got one for my Med cruise last year to make magnets. One of the cartridges that they do laminates the front and puts a magnet on the back. I have my graphics printed on glossy photo paper and then run them through my Xyron. This way they are quite durable and they look professional.

I really hope I get that "feeling" when I find THE dress. This was the closest I've come but not exactly it. That Xyron machine sounds interesting and they are fairly cheap on Amazon. Definitely something to think about! Probably a lot easier than laminating and gluing magnets to 50 STD cards by hand!

Sorry your STD idea didn't work out! I think that would've been very cute, but I think you could still make it work with the business cards/magnets. I think most people would get it!

You are probably right, I am probably overthinking it. That happens a lot.

I got an email from my photographer this morning that her kids were sick yesterday and she sent me a text yesterday to tell me she wouldn't be coming. But then she said she knew her phone was having trouble with text messages, which makes me really angry. What is so difficult about dialing a phone number and TALKING to someone?!?! I swear, the majority of my communication with people these days is through text. Even my mom would rather text me than call me! I even got a text from an attorney client for work!!! REALLY?!?!?!? I guess I'm OLD SCHOOL but I'd much rather have a conversation with someone if I want to relay something really important (Such as, my kids are sick and I won't be bringing you your photos today so don't worry about checking your porch every couple of hours for them (which my mom was doing all day yesterday)).

/RANT.

She said she would mail me the disc today. So, we'll see what happens next.


In MUCH MUCH MUCH better news, DF got some good news at work, he will be writing an episode for the show he works on! A writing credit means MOAR MONIES!!!!!!!!!! Before I could even get it out, DF told me, NO, I can't have any of his bonus money for my (our) wedding. It all goes to our house down payment fund. Fooey. But still, yaaaaaay for him! He works so hard and it's nice to see it all paying off!!!

I also was searching around on the Maggie website to see if I could find anything that matched the style of the expensive dress I loved (that I had a dream about last night) Nothing matches exactly but I found some similar ones that I like:

As you know, I am just doing a similar Key to the World card design and having it printed on a business card sized magnet. I'm also afraid our guests won't "get it"....but DF loves the idea and said that they'll figure it out when they get to Disney lol.

I read through your whole DIS PJ looking for the keys before I remembered I saw them on DB! lol Are you ordering through Vistaprint? Their prices are so ridiculous, I have no idea how they make money.

I do love my Xyron. The cartridges are pretty pricey, but some good deals turn up on Ebay every once in a while. I have the larger X900 Creative Station, which will work with up to A4 size. I think the smaller X510 version would have served my purposes just as well and the cartridges for this are cheaper.

You might recall my photographer said she would mail my pictures on Monday. I didn't think too much of it after all I've been through.

So imagine my surprise when I received a package from her today! Yay! I have all my pictures.


She put the pictures (very large files) on three discs, and included two little albums with a note that she would send prints once her health improved (we never discussed prints so if I get some, great, but if not, no big deal).

Walter liked the ribbon and twine.

I'm excited to share my favorites with everybody!

All of those dresses are gorgeous, but I think my favorite is Brittney, followed by Cassandra. I hope you get the chance to try them on!

VistaPrint is a great deal. I ordered my STDs through them (though I had postcards, not magnets), and I think I paid about $35 total for all of them. They are pretty nice quality too.

And yay!! For finally getting your photos! Can't wait to see more!
