Does anyone watch this show on A&E? He does tricks/illusions along the same line as David Blaine. What do you think of this type of stuff. I think it's all crap and am continually amazed at the people who are "amazed" by this kind of "magic". Either they're actors or they're stupid.

That is a rather strong statement.

Yes I watch it and yes I am amazed. Unless you can show me how to float 5 feet off the ground, or be suspended by piercings from a helicopter, well then yes I will stop being amazed.

I like Mindfreak and catch it once in awhile. I'm not fond of the spiritual mumbo-jumbo he throws in to make it seem more like "true" magic. But it is entertaining and while I *know* it is all illusion, I am still amazed by it. I can't figure out how he does most things, but the amount of practice that has to go into timing and perfecting the illusion is mind-boggling, and that is what I am amazed by.

I watch with DH and I am a big skeptic. DH swears he must be for real, and I'm the one saying no way, it's all an illusion and the "people off the street" are hired actors who know he's coming in advance.

But, he is entertaining and pretty easy on the eyes.

There are a lot of things in particular that I am not fond of. Mom-shorts, people who are always negative, and spinach in my teeth. I guess that's just life.

Oh, and to answer your question, I find David Blaine very interesting, and I'd like to know how he can throw a playing card through a window. Criss Angel is ok, but I don't really watch him. I own a remote control.

I find it hard to believe that someone could not be amazed at this "stuff". Mama always says, "Stupid is as stupid does."

You know that is the thing, do you think it is "stupid" people or "actors? I have met some people that are stupid and I have met "actors".. With that being said I have met self "proclaimed"_______________ insert your adjective here. I know that in all of these groups you may find the rudest, or most ignorant of the "group". They have been classifed in by others or them selves. What is most intereresting is how others from "outside" their group see them.

I have a 2 college degrees and am I still amazed Heck Yea !!!

I LOVE seeing the excitment on not only my son's face but all the faces of the millions of people that ARE excited and impressed. Just the whole "how does HE do that" is enough for me..

The ONLY thing that is Stupid, (in my opinion) are close minded people !!!!
