I'm 3 weeks away from a trip that's been booked since last April. I was just looking at the Typhoon Lagoon info, and noticed that the WDW web site lists a min. of 60" height for the Storm Slides.

Is this accurate?

I was hoping my 8yo daughter would be able to go on these (she's 54" tall - too big for the kiddie slides). Humunga Kowabunga has a min. height of 48", but she's not too crazy about the enclosed slides. That only leaves the tube slides :sad2: .

Thanks in advance for any info...

I can't answer your question so I'm just going to bump this back to page one for you in hopes that some of our veterans can offer advice. I thought the limit was 48" but I've never experienced a water park, so don't take my word for it.

DS went down these slides a few years ago when he was about 6- NP. TL is awesome you will love it!

Unless they have changed it recently, I'd say it was no more than 42"; DS did the storm slides when he was 3. We both walked him to the top, Dad went down first, then I sent him right after, so Dad was there to guide him out of the pool at the bottom, which is good. You really don't want a little one bobbing around at the bottom of the slide when a large adult comes barreling out of it.

He was allowed to wear a life-jacket on the slide, and I chose to have him do so, though he swims like a fish and really didn't need it. (Cautious Mommy thought that the darkness might disorient him and cause him to panic, thus the vest.)
