Min age for car hire..

Hi is there a minimum age to hire a car in the US? I will be 21 when I go this yr!

21 will be ok, under insurance hits the roof

I would shop around the different car hire companies, as some will charge a daily premium for drivers under 25.

Most car hire companies charge a premium for 21-24 (sometimes 23) year olds. With VH (who we booked with) it was included in the platinum insurance package anyway but some companies charge per day.
