So. I know from around 10 Disney trips that requested rooms locations hardly ever come off and are basically just something to obsess on when trip planning. But humour me!!! I've never been to OKW and an all over the place about my preference at OL check in. I can't ask for HH as paying cash. I was vering to the Old Turtle Pond area but think I've changed my mind...... Looking now at Millers Road, ideally building 19 or 20, as close to the quiet pool as possible. I know the kids will have to walk through our bedroom to get to the bathroom (booked a 1 bed villa). Any observations of this area? Thanks you.

We stayed on Miller's road, bldg 17 and 20. Both had a lot of bus noise. I would try for Turtle Shack area, nice and quiet in bldg 37, 38 or 39. All buses stop at the HH (check in) area on the way to the parks so it easy to get a ride to the main pool. The Downtown Disney buses stop at HH before going to the other stops. So you can get a ride back. We were at bldg 48 in this past November, this was a quiet area, and close to the bus and the quiet pool was a short walk. Be ready to be spoiled by all the space in the 1BR unit. Have a great trip.

Stayed in buildings 18 and 16 and loved them both. 16 was our favourite second floor, lovely view and closer to HH house. 18 was closer to quiet pool and bus stop. Mainly used the Millers Road pool which is so peaceful and pretty. I liked that the bus stop is last before HH and leaving the resort. We would get off at Peninsular Road and walk back on our return. I imagine the higher numbers 20+ are closer to the main road and could be noisier. We loved that we could easily walk for main pool, dining, shopping, quiet pool, boat to DTD and buses. I have been tempted with Turtle Pond mainly for the Turtle shack at the quiet pool and it does look pretty, but a bit of a hike from HH House.

Just returned from a 1-bdrm in bldg 18(3rd floor). Now my old knees would have preferred 2nd floor but the view over the golf course to Hospitality was one of the best views ever at WDW. The quiet pool was right next door which was great and I did not notice any road noise at all. Most times I walked over to HH unless a bus was in view. I also would get off at Peninsula and walk back which I did not think was too long a walk. (My DD cut through the golf course at night from Peninsula which I understand is not kosher). I thought the bathroom door would be an issue with my DD but she had no problems with it(just don't touch my stuff Dad) and if she is happy... then dad is happy. Remember that the bathrooms and entrances are going to be on the side of the bldgs closest to the parking and road, so road noise in the bedrooms will be minimal unless one is a very light sleeper. If I heard a bus while sleeping(seldom) is was a bus on Peninsula rd(from across the golf course) and not Millers Road.
This was my 5th stay at OKW and I did not request Millers Road but near HH was booked up and with renovations closing off 3 entire bldgs I knew getting something close to HH would be a challenge. I think I really lucked out with bldg 18 and would have no problems staying there again.

Our two favorite buildings at OKW for golf course views and location.

Thanks for the replies. I think I am decided to try for Millers Road. Fingers crossed!

May be I'm too late but have stayed at Turtle Pond more than 20 times and Millers Road once. Millers Road loud bus noise, crowded buses and a hike to the main pool. Turtle Pond great pool, quieter, buses not as crowded. Wherever you are at OKW you will love it.

Some of our best views have been in building 16 and 17. We have also had building 22 a number of times, and its a long way to the bus stop. Depending on which end of 16 you are on, its almost closer to the HH bus stop, but since its the last stop, often the buses are full.
