Has anyone stayed there? The reviews on Tripadvisor are pretty good.

I got a quote online for our May dates for $269 per night for a deluxe room with 2 double beds and full American breakfast. That´s an awesome price compared to other NYC hotels. :thumbsup2

So now I´m wondering whether we´d be allowed to stay in the room with 2 adults and 4 kids? 3 kids would share one double bed (have done it many times before) and the baby would sleep in our bed? :confused3

I've never stayed there but I pass it almost everyday on my walk from the Path station at WTC to one of my clients. Its in the heart of the financial district, and right across from WTC (ground zero). There are subway stops close by that are on the A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 lines which go to the west and east side of midtown, so you are a quick ride away from Midtown. You are also near Soho, little italy, canal street, the village.

I would stay there as it looks like a nice place.

I stayed there once about 7 years ago. It was very nice from what I recall

Thanks! I guess we´ll book it then. The price even beats the price I had on our booking for the Super 8 at Times Square :rotfl2:

My dfi used to work at the Millenium Broadway (same company) and she says they may not let you have 6 to a room.

How old are the kids?

Is this on a weekend?

I just called them and they said it wasn´t a problem at all as long as the kids were all under 18, which they are. They´re 2, 5, 10 and 12. I sure hope they won´t turn us away at check-in.

We´ll be staying 4 nights, May 25-29 (Friday-Tuesday)

We loved our stay there last summer. But we also had a bigger corner room up high, not sure what it was called. ? There were 4 of us, and we got DS a cot so he would not share a bed with his sister. :scared1: It was a very peaceful hotel, no noise or any problem at all. Not sure what a normal room is like though.

We had a great view of the city out one window (facing Manhattan skyline). I noticed the rooms down the hallway were smaller though. Very nice hotel and helpful concierge and front desk. We got a 7 day subway pass too and used it a lot from several stops there.

Here is a view of the Hilton while walking on the south side of Ground Zero.

I've stayed there & would do so again.. I even wrote a review on Tripadvisor for them.. however, the rooms are small (we also had a Deluxe w/ 2 double beds) We ended up getting a cot for the youngest because they were the smallest Double beds I ever saw. We were tight with only 2 kids, I can't imagine having 4... I know it's more expensive but have you checked out the Doubletree Suites in Times Square.. you might get more room.

Thanks for all your great response. We´ll definately ask for a cot for the baby :)

My 15 yr old son slept on the cot and it was quite large! He was about 5' 8" last year. Maybe we had a bigger roll-away for our room? It was almost the size of a single bed.

Our room was very spacious, you could call and ask what the corner rooms are called. It was bigger than the picture that is shown when you go to the website. It is not the picture for deluxe, it was larger. We had windows on 2 sides. Maybe you could just request a corner room?

Good luck and enjoy your visit! We had a great time!:)

I'm excited for you!!!! You are going to have a wonderful time!

I'll be in NY at the end of May! Wear your lime green ribbon and I'll wear mine and - wouldn't it be funny if we spotted each other!!! :)

I´ll definately do that. DS 12 can sleep on the cot then ;) I always thought a cot was the same as a crib and only for babies. Thanks for your advice.

Maybe we should all meet at the top of the empire state building for a DIS meet! ;)

BTW Freyja, if the outside observation deck is not open, skip the empire state building. I hadn't gone up in years and was dismayed to pay 18 a person to spend 2 hours in line to go up and not be able to see out of dirty windows!!!!

One more thing! I'd love to see your itinerary when it's done - I mean, you don't have to share personal stuff like names of hotels and dates (I'm not going to stalk you!!:rotfl: )

I'd just like to see where you plan to go! You are taking a road trip once you get to NYC - right! I love road trips!

We LOVED going up, but the observation deck was open and we went up as soon as they opened that morning. NO wait at all. :) DH rented the audio tour and thoroughly enjoyed that. Kids and I then used the recorder thingie and learned a lot of tidbits about NYC! I think we were up there about 2 hours and it started to get crowded about 30 mins before we left. Go early!

Call the "cot" a rollaway. DH is an army reservist and I heard him use the term "cot" many years ago when he was active duty! ;) Hotels call them rollaways! ;)

I used to live in NYC and I am not sure that NYC fire code permits that many people in a room - I think that one room occupancy limit is 5 regardless of the age. Maybe they are giving you a suite?

I would call directly to the hotel and doublecheck what you have been told by reservations.

We called the hotel directly and they told us it was no problem. I told them the kids ages and they said it was fine if they were all under 18. I specifically asked him if there were any regulations that would stop us from being so many and he said no!
