Milkshakes--The Best & The Worst

I have to say that the best shake I have had was from the Pop Century food court. It was really good. I have had shakes at Sci Fi, Whispering Canyon and 50's also. Pop one was the best.

Thanks for the info.!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes I have yet to check out POP. Have seen some great pics!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Have always wanted to check out their tie-dye cheesecake, but will hold that one in reserve!

Another vote from me for the PB&J at 50s PT. That is DD's favorite. The first time she got it I thought it would be gross but I actually love it to!!! Found the recipe online and made them at home and it was just as good!!!

I also found the recipe online and made them constantly over Christmas Break last year. I believe my family may have been getting sick of seeing the blender come out ;).

Great ideas!:worship::worship: Fun to do--have to have something to go with all those Christmas goodies:goodvibes:goodvibes

50's Prime Time chocolate shake was phenomenal.

For those of you who didn't like WCC shakes, my family agrees with you. Afterward, we decided it was because they put whipped cream on top. That whipped cream is SO heavy, and melts into the milkshake and makes it taste more like heavy cream than ice cream.

We haven't been back because we didn't really like it there, but I would recommend ordering the milkshake without the whipped cream. Then you'll have a pure ice cream shake AND more room for the refills!!

Love botomless milkshakes at Whispering Canyon and will be trying my first PB&J at 50's Prime Time this year which I'm really looking forward to.

Thanks for the tip!! DS16 has never liked whipped cream, so this will be to his benefit. Made a reservation for Sunday dinner at WCC, and wonder if he'll finish his dinner or drink it!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Any pics out there of these wonderful milkshakes?? :yay::yay:

Looks like PB&J is in the lead!! Doesn't sound that great to me, but I will try it once!:goodvibes:goodvibes

I agree with everyone else about the PB&J milkshake - I wasn't sure I would like it, but I tried it on our last trip and it was super yummy! :cloud9: It tasted mostly like peanut butter. Plus they give you the extra in the metal cup!

Avoid the milkshakes at Le Cellier though! :sad2: I had a chocolate one there and it was AWFUL!! It was mostly chuncks of ice and tasted like it was just Hershey's syrup with no ice cream or milk at all. Bleck!

Not a milkshake, but I did try a smoothie at Whispering Canyon Cafe and it was really tasty.

PB&J milkshake really does look GOOD!:yay::yay:

Gave the kids the info. on Le Cellier, as we have a ressie there for lunch.

Smoothie looks great at WCC.

Pictures definitely make/break a decision.:worship::worship:

Thanks for sharing.:love::love::love:

Oh my gosh! Awesome thread! Our family LOVES milkshakes and since walking around in the heat is a given in Disney when we go.... we will definitely be stopping in for one of these (don't know where yet!) and this thread is very helpful! Thanks! :wizard:

how are the oreo milkshakes at Sci Fi? cookies n cream is my fave ice cream flavor :love:

It's very good, especially if you get the "adult" version of it where they add Godiva chocolate liqueur! I think it's call Orbiting Oreo milkshake, or something like that.

Beaches and Cream, located between the Yacht and Beach Club off the Boardwalk. Fantastic ice cream and milk shakes! You can even have a banana milk shake: :banana:

Thanks to all your great suggestions!:worship::worship:

Unanimous vote is in--50's Prime Time is the winner! PB&J tastes like a crushed Reese's Peanut Butter Cup DD19's favorite. DS16 loved their chocolate! Our waiter, George, from Truro, MA was the best:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Tried WCC, Beaches & Cream and The Wave and, although they were good, our official winner is still the 50's Cafe.

Had a lot of fun with this.:banana::banana:

Whispering canyon was sickly artificial tasting sweet.... My kids left them:lmao:, the ones at prime time well they are delightful:lovestruc, especially the ppj one.... I too get the smoothie at Whispering canyon....

what about Min & Bills Dockside Diner?? Do they still have milkshakes there? My boyfriend loves their milkshakes.

Those pb+j milkshakes look good. Does the 50's cafe do take with them or do i have to eat dinner there? Joe

So, just to clarify again, if you are on the regular dining plan, can you get shakes as your beverage or does it have to be your dessert? Which places allowed it as beverage and which as dessert?

Thanks!
