Military ticket question. nevermind found the answer

My best friend is a Captain in the US Army and he offered to get us the military ticket offer. Is that possible or does he have to be w/ us? Which is also a possibility just got back 16 months in Iraq he needs a little R&R.

Also my DH was in the military for 6 years and he was recently honorably discharge so he doesn't count for this discount correct?
