military discounts every year?

We went to disney a few years ago on a military discount price (2009) and I see that there's another one going on. We weren't planning on going until 2012 but I see that the "special" ends before then. I wondered if there is typically a discount offered or if this is just an every few years thing? Thanks!

There have been deep disacounts for the last three years. They have not lasted for the full year, and they do have blockout datesd. As for the future, Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

Disney Military Sales does such a poor job of getting the word out. For these three offers they've started just prior to or on the date the offer starts.

After this year's horrible release I reached out to Disney Military Sales to offer my help with any further Military Offers and I never heard a thing from them.

Too bad, I know there were people who were unable to take advantage of a great military discount during their vacation because of the gap between offers, the ticket snafu, and slow release of news.

I have never had any difficulty getting information about military specials just by doing a simple google search. Plus, your local military ticket office also has this information, as well as many military internet sites, such as military.com.

disney, unlike Busch, only offers discounts to the military when the economy is bad enough.
People get offended when I say that, but it is the truth. Disney offered a killer deal in 2002 to help recover some tourism post 9/11, and then nothing, nada, until the economy tanked in 2009.
I do appriciate military deals (i do not expect anyhing) but i appriciate it more when the gratitude or thanks or salute or whatever they want to call it is genuine.
The Busch parks is a prime example- the offer free tickets to a family of 4 every single year, no minimum stay or blackouts or extra strings required.

I totally agree with you. I've said the same thing many times.

Also it is easy to find the info once it's out online... My issue is with their getting it out initially.
