My father is retired Navy and offered to buy discounted tickets for us. I am not sure he's allowed to do this? Would he have to go with us, or can we use the tickets without him? Can they be attached to a magic band if we stay on property?

If he get you the Salute Tickets he has to be there but if he brought you the regular tickets that the base offers he doesn't need to be there. Good luck

Do all military bases sell discounted tickets? We live very near a base and have a lot of military friends.

Salute tickets required military member to be there to activate the tickets. Certain bases do sell regular disney tickets with a little bit of a discount and no sales tax. This is a perk for service members only and they could get in trouble if they catch them buying for someone else, since the small discount is paid from the base mwr. Personally I wouldn't risk DH career to save a friend a couple of bucks and I would also not put my friends in that predicament.

Thank you for the information. We have actually bought tickets direct from Disney and told my dad thanks but not thanks. It's a great discount, but my father can't travel with us at this point and I would feel super guilty using the tickets if we technically "weren't entitled" to them. I just thought since he is technically immediate family and I was at some point a dependent we might be eligible.

If it is immediate family is ok, but buying for a "friend" as pp asked can be very tricky because it will be consider re- selling.

Just remeber to tell him no salute tickets unless he will be there to activate them, most of the employees will try to recommended those because they are the best deal.
