So my aunt, uncle and their 2 young kids are hoping to go to DL for the kids' first time (they haven't been in a while either) in December. He used to be in the navy and I was wondering for them what kind of military discount DL tickets others have gotten.

And if I can convince my mom to let me get an AP, I could go with them!

I'm pretty sure you have to be active military to get the discount tickets.

My husband is Navy Reserve and we always use discount tickets. Since we aren't near an actual Navy base we can purchase tickets at our local Air Force Base. They even Fed-Ex them to me since they are about an hour away. I just ordered our tickets this week and a 5 day park hopper was $162.00. They say that you may have to show your Military ID but we have never been asked for it. :thumbsup2

We also bought our tickets at our local base, as long as you have a retired military ID to get on base you will have no problems. Disneyland never asked to see our ID's.

Thanks for the answers! Can anyone tell me what the military price would be for a 3-day hopper (both adult and child)?

Sorry DLR29 for hijacking!

Here are the current prices for our base.
3 day Adult $ 145. Child $129

I don't know if the price varies by branch or base, etc.

HIA :thumbsup2

That's ok. Nice new avatar. Harold!

Thanks for the responses. Can I get the price of a 2 day ticket? Or do they even have discounts on those.

I believe the prices vary from base to base (in my experience). I'm at Edwards and here are our prices

2 day park hopper 91 (adult) 81 (child)
3 day park hopper 155 (adult) 138 (child)
4 day park hopper 160 (adult) 145 (child)

At San Diego NAS though their prices are:
2 day park hopper 113.95 (adult) 103.15 (child)
3 day park hopper 150.70 (adult) 134.50 (child)
4 day park hopper 156.10 (adult) 139.90 (child)

I hate that they differ and wish that they would standardize it.

Prices should be the same and yes a few ITT (Inforamtion Tickets and Tours will fed ex them to you so you don't need to make a trip to a base. There are a few other federal civilian employees can get tickets. While at Shades of Green I ran into many other federal law enforcement types that got these discounts also.

Keep in mind that with the military tickets - it's not a good deal if you upgrade. You are credited the price printed on the back of the ticket, and I noticed at my ITT, that the price on the back was lower than what we had to pay. I asked about that, and that's the price ITT pays, and they add on a fee for each ticket. So...let's say you buy that 4 day hopper from Edwards - you pay $160. The back may say $139 or something. If you decided to upgrade - you have to pay the difference of the new ticket and the $139...not what you actually paid - the $160. So make sure you check that before you buy it if you think you might upgrade. Also, military tickets do not include the Magical Morning.

The military prices at McChord AFB ITT are:
1 day (no hopping) $60.25
2 day hopper $107.25
3 day hopper $142.25
4 day hopper $148.25
5 day hopper $159.25
So yeah...it really varies...I am pretty sure Fort Lewis ITT is a little more expensive.
