Military discount question

My friend is in the military and really wants to come to disney world with me this year and is more than happy to use his discount for us. However he isn't sure he can get leave but still wants to give me his discount if he can't go. Is that even possible? I'm pretty sure he would have to be there with me in order for me to get the discount.

The discount is intended for use only by military members and their families, or friends traveling WITH them. You can't just "give it away". That would defy the purpose.

no. there are two different kinds of tickets. the Salute to Heroes( the very cheap 4 day ones) MUST be activated on site by the Servicemember or their spouse. there is no other place to activate them except at any Park or DtD.

the regular military discount tickets have a minimal discount and if purchased on a base or at Shades of Green are not taxed. anyone may use these and the SM does not need to activate them. However Undercover Tourist discounts are comparable.
