I'm just wondering if the military discount for rooms applies only to active military or would it apply to my DH, who is a veteran?

Thanks!

You have to have a valid active or retired ID. Reservists need a set of orders from the past year (I can't seem to get exact clarification on how long the orders need to be for, if it's just a two-week annual training or an actual deployment). Individuals who were separated with 100% disability also qualify.

I think that you can stay at Shades of Green during certain times of the year (January or September?) if you have a DD214 with an honorable discharge, but I'm not certain on that.

If your DH is retired & has a military ID yes you can get the discount. If he just served & got out then no. Have to have a military ID active, retired or medically retired. That what IO was told. But my DH is retired and we have been & going back this September under the military discount :)

As a veteran, your husband is entitled to stay at Shades of Green in January & September by showing his DD214.
Also, which I just recently found out after speaking with Shades, you can stay on disney property anytime of the year if you book through Shades of Green, you will received a discount of some sort, but you can't stay at Shades if that makes any sense! The offer they gave me for November was around a 20% discount at Boardwalk Inn.
Hope this helps!
