We didn't go to the actual party, but were in the last wave to leave DL this afternoon at 5pm. We were over in Adventureland and got to listen to Miley's band/back-up singers warm up and do sound checks on the Tom Sawyer Island stage. That was kind of nice.
They had a lot of the stuff set up while we were there from 2:30 to 5pm. There were television cameras all over the place - covered over with tarps and waiting for the party to begin. A CM told us Miley was actually in ToonTown (I'm assuming doing prep) at about 3:30. They closed that area off to the public around 3pm.
By the Riverboat Dock, they had set up photo booths and "Record your own CD" booths. In the HMH overflow queue area (the little circular park between the HM and the French Market), Disney Interactive set up a gaming area with about 6 flat panel Hi Def TVs and gaming stations. The French Market was set up as a "Rock Cafe". The area in front of the castle was set up for some kind of stage thing. Frontierland had some Blowers and general decor. Nothing in Tomorrowland had been set up when we were through that area.
They were setting up buffet tables in Adventureland, as they were closing the area.
Looked like the folks who were attending would be having a blast. Reminded me of the fun stuff we did at old Disney-sponsored Disneyana Conventions!
Anyone know who won the Food Network Challenge for Miley's cake? They had a table set up in front of the castle on Saturday around 6:30pm to do the announcement of the winner - after the parade. We never made it back over there to watch it.
