Milestone Birthday Dinner

Longtime lurker, first post ever!

DM, DD and I are going to the World just before Thanksgiving to celebrate a milestone Birthday for DM (won't tell you which one but I just turned 40). We'll be there two nights and are staying off-peroperty so no DDP. Since I'm the Disney fan in the family they asked me for a dinner recommendation for one of the nights-we're going to Boma the second night. I don't eat seafood or Asian cuisine and don't do TS much becuase most of the refined side dishes would be lost on me (in fact DD vetoed CG after looking at the menu and deciding I wouldn't like it). We all love Italian food but will eat almost anything else, although DD doesn't often order steak at restaurants because it isn't often cooked correctly. Any suggestions for a fancy restaurant that fits these criteria? Oh, and I'm also allergic to butter. TIA.

We loved Tutto Italia - was one of the best meals we've ever had at WDW.

If you want somewhat fancy and like Italian, I'd go with Il Mulino at the Swan. It beats the pants off of Disney's Italian restaurants.

If you want to stay on property at WDW, Il Mulino is probably your best bet, off property, Christini's Ristorante Italiano.

Tutto Italia is a wonderful restaurant- one of our favourite meals. I would try there.
We also really liked Grand Floridian Cafe and Citricos, both have an 'elegant' atmosphere. When we ate at Citricos, the MK fireworks started when we were eating our desserts.
Out of the three, GFC is probably the cheapest. And not as fancy food as Citricos. Tutto Italia is one of the more expensive 1 TS restaurants, but still lovely. Citricos is quite expensive and considered a 'signature' dining experience.
