Hi everyone. :)

I have a question about virgin flying club bookings.

Jack and I are going to bok with Virgin Miles + Money if it saves us as we boht have enough miles for PE flights.

But, we only have enough miles each (if that makes sense).

Will we each need to book separately? Or can we use both our accounts on one booking?

I am not sure if you can make one booking as you won't be authorised to use each others miles. I would phone & ask though, if you are making a bookinng make sure both of you are able to speak on the phone just in case.

Thanks I will phone and ask them closer to boking time. I don't think the flights will be available until April.

You have to ring from my experience.

And don't you go booking my flights (won't say when in case others don't know!) my Monday departure's already gone, don't want to lose the Tuesday! Roll on payday! lol

Haha, we're going on a Thursday so you're OK. ;)

When I assisted relatives with this same problem last year it wasn't possible to do it without making 2 separate bookings.

They decided they didn't want this and so one of them topped up their miles (they were only a few hundred short) so both reservations could be made on the same booking.

Of course it could have changed ..... nothing lost by asking ;)

Thanks everyone.

Do you choose your seats when you book?

I certainly don't want to risk us not sitting together on the way to our wedding!!

It is possible to book all seats at the same time, even if you're using miles from different accounts, we did this on Boxing Day. I booked for me, my wife, son and daughter.

The person you speak to when you book will just ask to speak to the other person to authorise the spending of their miles from the account. In our case, they only had to speak with my wife as the kids are under 18 anyway.

We were able to reserve our seats when we booked, but it probably depends on how busy the flight is.

Hope this helps, :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone.

You can link together bookings, me and my DD has a separate booking to my sister in 2008, as I decided to take her with us after I had booked mine & DD flights. We had different booking refs so had to go into manage my flights separately to book seats however they moved our seat requests , they still kept us all together.

When you do OLCI it asks if you are traveling with someone else and you can add the person then.

Having two bookings was never a problem for us.

You can definately do it all on one booking. We have done this loads of times (including last week for our September flights). Each person usually uses their own miles for their flight but its always on one booking.

I dont think its possible online but you can do it over the phone with them. Just say you each want to use miles from your own accounts and it wont be problem.

:) Thanks Laura.

We are going to book the same time as my parents. (but thye wont be using Miles) so will the phone people be able to tell me seat numbers so my parents can choose seats near us when they book?

They should be able to - we were given seat numbers when we booked this time (but not sure if that is because we booked a skycot). If your happy for all of the cost to go one one credit card your parents can still be on the same booking without using a miles plus money fare. We did that last time, as only 3 of us had enough miles but all 4 of us were on the same booking.

Another thing you can do to make this easier is get Jack to call FC and authorise you to make reservations using his points - DH did this for me and now all I need do is call when he is at work and I can use his miles as well as my own.:)
