...and gave me nothing! Maybe shes been reading the Dis and heard me complain about the lingerie and dust pan from previous years.
She was living in Florida so she shipped gifts to the kids and DH. When there was nothing for me I assumed maybe she was waiting to give it to me when she came back. She moved back yesterday and we just went to see her. We gave her her gifts, but I never got one.

UPDATE*** I just found out why...shes mad at me!!! DH(I use that D very loosley right now) never told me that she was mad at me! I didnt want to drive 1 and 1/2 hours each way on Christmas(with the kids wired) to see her. 2 months ago she went off about how she would not be home for Christmas because of something her other son said last year. Then at the last minute she changed her mind and couldnt get a flight to make it to our usual Christmas Eve party. So she wanted us to blow off my familys traditions, trek all over the place to see her...when we could have waited 24 hours to drive 15 minutes to see her(which is what we did). Of course I showed up like an idiot with no clue she was mad at me. OH, Im so mad at DH

Geez, Camcolt, that is scary! I wonder if she has been reading.

Makes me glad my own MIL has no access to a PC. :)

LOL, Snoopy! Now that you mention it, DH just had to teach her how to use her answering maching. Seeing that fiasco, I highly doubt she could figure out a computer.

My ex-MIL gave me the ultimate gift one year...The top half to a two peice pajama set....  I think I would have rather had nothing...lol

DH will be taking DS to see his mother for Christmas on Sat. Im expecting nothing from her for Christmas. She has been in a nasty state of mind since Feb.
Oh well, I did go in on a gift to MIL though.

I prefer the gift of "nothing" over the gift of "what am I supposed to do with this?"

We finally convinced MIL not to buy us anything this year since we are partially supporting her (and the gifts are usually strange things like a book on "Saving your marriage through communication.").

I think it's very odd that she sent everyone a gift except you. You had to wonder what goes thru peoples minds.

My MIL completely ignored my Birthday this year. Not forgot, ignored. There's a difference.

One year my grandma gave my step dad a bookmark for his Birthday and a Chia pet for Christmas. Needless to say, they weren't his favorite gifts (or for him, the most useful).

Personally I'd rather get nothing from my inlaws. It's kind of a silly show for the kids I guess, treat me like dirt all year and then buy me a gift at Christmas to show how much they love me. Yeah right...

Brian I said EX MIL....lol
and no the top went to the Salvation Army quickly :)

CamColt I think DH needs a talking too...

LOL, glo! Thats hysterical!
And yes, DH got a little more than a "talking" to this morning. ;) He has this problem with wanting to keep everyone happy, but in doing so, its always me who suffers. I guess he doesnt care if Im not happy...which BTW, Im not right now. ;)

Wow. That's awful. Life is too short for her to hold a grudge like that.
