I never made the connection, but now I vaguely remember him on QVC - good place for him to hone his sarcasm!

He was one of my favorite hosts. I love him on Dirty Jobs too.

He also use to sing opera, he sang with the Baltimore Opera. I saw one of his Dirty Jobs espisodes where he got a letter asking him to sing.

Age has certainly been very kind to that man!

I had no idea he'd ever been on QVC. I just became a fan of his last winter when I happened to flip past the Discovery Channel and heard this fantastic voice say the word "poo;" from then on, I was riveted.

He also used to do an evening TV show in the San Francisco area that focused on local hangouts. It took me a while to place him, but I knew that I recognized the voice. Then I remembered that he was the one I got my Lucky Chicken recipe from. It's a real simple chicken dish and he said he would cook it when he had a date....hence the name

I am so glad this was posted. Everytime I see him on Dirty Jobs I have been going crazy trying to figure out where I have seen him before!!! Mystery SOLVED!!!
