Oh, Mike, sweetie, what an AWESOME, AWESOME post! :Pinkbounc You should be so proud of yourself! You, ROCK!!!! :cool1:

What a great moment, too, for someone who can really appreciate all a grocery store has to offer -- I hope you found some great ingedients for all your incredible recipes. I'm so happy for you, buddy!

And can I just say how happy I am to see you posting a bit more frequently again? I have missed hearing your smiling voice, getting great recipe ideas from you, and enjoying your progress. Did you realize you are 1/3 of the way to your ultimate total loss goal? How amazing is that?! Do you remember when I pointed out you were somewhere around 12% there?

Can you believe how far you have come? You are an amazing role model, Mike. I don't think you can even imagine the lives you influence with your positive attitude and incredible support. :goodvibes:

Keep up the great work -- I CANNOT wait to see pix of you enjoying WDW without need for a scooter to get around all the time. And you will LOVE the KTTK tour! So much to look forward to, Mike! Enjoy this chapter of your life and all the great things to come!

Have a happy and healthy day! I hope this week is great for you!

Aww Thank you Cam!! That message does mean a lot!! I do remember when you said I was around 12% of the way there. Means a lot to know that someone is really noticing! :sunny: I am glad to be able to post more now, this time of the year is always my busiest so it is hard at the end of August to get online. I do love sharing this journey with all of your great WISHers though!!! :flower:

Hope you are having a great day yourself!!!

OMG Mike - you are really rocking!!!!! You are truly inspiring and I'm so glad I have you in my WISH life (and all the WISHers as well). You have done such an awesome job. I think you will now be surprised at what you can do. How much more you can accomplish. And you have quite a few months before April and I KNOW there will be less of you by then and you WILL be able to do at least some, if not all, of your trip unassisted. That has got to be a great feeling!!!!!!! Keep on rockin' my man!!!!!!

Keep on

Hey, Mike! Remind me. When exactly will you be in WDW? DD is going with her HS band and I think we are going to try to make it down there to see them march in a MK parade (can you imagine? :Pinkbounc ) And then, in April, DS will go over Easter break for his 7th grade class trip. It would be so awesome if we were there at the same time and could have dinner together or something like that!

64lbs and 8 inches - that is sooooo AWESOME!! Congrats - you are such an inspiration!!! Keep up the great work!

Ok DISers I need your input on something big!!!

Southwest is having some good fare sales so.... I am thinking of going to WDW for three days in December. Specifically December 5th to 7th. The plan would be to go to the Candlelight Processional on the 5th (Cicely tyson! Woo hoo!) and the MVMCP on the 6th, then do DTD on the 7th and come home! The other idea would be to go the 7th through the 9th as Jim Caveziel is reading the Christmas story that time but I feel like end of the week is probably the busier night...

Thoughts?
Suggestions?
Am I crazy??
Will any of you be there then????

Let me know asap your thoughts as I have to decide in the next 24hrs!
Mike :goodvibes

You want my opinion? ;) (I think you know what the answer is! :rotfl: )

GO!!!!!

I think you would be fine either time you choose to go. The crowds are minimal, the decorations are beautiful.... It's just a great time to go! I know you would like to hear Jim Caviezel read the Christmas story though. If you go towards the end of the week, could you add a couple of days to your trip and make it a 5 day trip? Just a suggestion. ;)

Let us know what you decide! :goodvibes

Ok, so fate has stepped in...

First I had a great night! I went with my grandparents to see my mom tonight, we met up at Foxwoods Casino. While we ate dinner I made the joke, if I win anything tonight, even a quarter, I am definitely going to WDW in Decemeber. So dinner was excellent! Stayed on plan at the buffet. My mom totally noticed my weight loss but was cool about it, talked to me more like an adult (finally on these issues!) than reacting how I thought she might, which would be getting overly excited and saying things like "Finally," etc. So that was very nice. She more commiserated about her own recent weight loss and asked if I had a goal, I said no, I just wanted to feel better and she said that that made the most sense. We had fun! I may have mentioned before but she lives in Oregon so I don't see her that often.

So fast forward to the slot machines, here's how IT happened... We were looking for machines to play. I had brought $40 with me to play with. First machine I spy is a Tabasco sauce themed slot machine. I say "I like spicy food, I should play this one." So I put in 75 cents and win $1.50, 75 more cents and I lost, so I say "One more time"... I put in the next 75 cents and watched as I got a winning result, I figured like $5... but the total keeps coming, It can't be $20... keeps going... I start to freak out! I won $200!!! TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! Hello Disney! LOL My mom says "You have to go to Disney now!" haha

Here I sit, have just booked roundtrip flight on Southwest... two nights with dining plan and tickets at the Pop Century, and a ticket to MVMCP!!!! I am calling tomorrow morning to book my Candlelight Processional Dining Package, hopefully at Le Cellier!!! We will see!! hehe!! I also want to make a dinner res at MK for the night of the party, I am thinking early at Cinderella's castle if possible or maybe Tony's! I am soooo excited!!! Hehehe

Thanks Tracy for the vote of support! SO will any DISers be there 12/5-7th????? Oh, and I am not going to book a scooter now, I think I will be good by then! I walked around for hours tonight at the casino and felt fine!

What a day! What a day!!!
Mike :goodvibes

p.s. I hope your day was just as exciting!!!

WOW! WOW!! WOW!!!!!

You Definitely are going to WDW!!!!

Wish I could join you! December must be a wonderful time there!

Well, if you call fixing a hot water tank exciting.... then okay, it was an exciting day!;)

Seriously, congratulations!!!! You're going to Disney World! :cheer2: And you're $200 richer too! :goodvibes I want some exciting days like that! ::yes::

Mike -- That is so awesome! See? You were meant to be there! I have never made it to WDW at Christmas time yet, and I really want to do that. Maybe next year. Your plans all sound absolutely amazing and joyful! LeCellier is my FAVORITE (maple glazed salmon -- YUM!). Congratulations on your big win and for putting the funds to such great use! So glad you don't think you'll be spending money on a scooter. That is amazing! Look at how far you have come, buddy! You should be so proud of yourself!

BTW, if we get to WDW in April, it will probably be 4/14-20. Maybe we'll catch each other there another time!

OMG!!! We must, must, must bump into each other some time while you are down there!!!

DH and I are there the 4th - 9th! I'm so excited now and so happy for your win and your serendipitous trip to WDW!!! PM me or something and we'll figure out details!!!
