Mike' Make Over Madness!

Hey, Mike! Nice clippie!!!! :cheer2: :thewave: :goodvibes:

Sounds like your busy week should be fun, if you can remain conscious enough of all around you to enjoy it! :teeth: Using "Crash" for the diversity lessons is a great idea! That movie is very thought provoking.

Keep up the great work!

OMG Mike!!!!!! I'm off your journal for over and week and you go and up your clippie on me!!!!! WOW - how awesome!!!!!!! You are rockin' and I'm so proud of you!!!! Way to go.

Keep up the good work and good luck on your busy week. That Diversity Awareness Week sounds great. I am participating in our offices Dialogue on Race in October and I'm so looking forward to seeing how it works and how it goes. We've done this for 5 years now. It gets better each year. It's a retreat for 40 students (pretty much freshmen) to talk about issues on campus and in their own lives regarding diversity and race. It's gotten better each year. Have a good time with Homecoming activities!!!!

Keep on

Hi Chris!
Sorry, next time I will slow my loss down so you can catch up. ;) hehe! not!
The Dialogue on Race program sounds great! I would love to hear about it when it is over.
Homecoming should be fun! My parents are coming to Homecoming this year as my sister has a tennis match during it. After the parade I am going to see the Drama dept's production of Steel Magnolias, several of my students are in it.
Thanks for your support!

Hi All!

Ok, I get to sleep in tomorrow! Yay!!! My boss knows I have a wild week ahead and she said she'd shoot me if I cam in before 10. hehe!
So I am up late catching up on my shows! hehe! Tonight's Biggest Loser was great but my new fave is "Commander in Chief" starring Geena Davis, wow what a show! I cannot wait to see how it develops.
Made my fave chicken skewers for dinner tonight, they were yummy! I had a small cupcake one of my fellow Hall Directors brought to my staff meeting tonight with a small cup of Carb Countdown Chocolate Milk, was yummmmmmmy! . (She had made them for one of her RA's events and they had enough extra to bring everyone one in all of our halls.) Got in a lot of water today too! My knee is feeling a bit better, so that is good. I have a lot of walking to do tomorrow!

Have a great night all!

Just had to stop by and congratulate you on your new clippie! :cool1: Did you ever think that you would make your mini goal before your trip in Dec? You have had such awesome progress. Just remember to slow down long enough to give the old clothes a boot to the curb. You know one day, you will have to post pics of your progress.

Thanks for being faithful to my journal. Sorry, I haven't been around much. Hope that the homecoming activities go well. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

You are doing such a good job!!! Keep up the good work.

I hope the coming week is not too busy for you, just remember to take time for you!

Keep it up and have a great Wednesday!

Thanks Tracy and Jamie! I appreciate your support!

I need it tonight!! Not sure why but right now I am insanely craving Pizza Hut pizza... the greasy cheesy, sloppy mess on the crispy and chewy crust that glistens!! Ohhhh!!! Wish I knew why! I am going to need to make my pizza quiche soon so I can get a pizza fix!!! Hopefully tonight's hunger will pass!!!

Sweet dreams all!! I am gonna try to go to bed, hopefully to not dream of pizza!!!

Mike :(

Hey, kiddo! Hope you made it through last night okay! And I hope that you are enjoying your day today. Have a great one!

Hey Cam,

Thanks!! Got through last night ok, doing a bit better today. I am incorporating a piece of pizza into my dinner tonight to see if it is a real physical craving I need to satisfy or if it is just a mind game. The funny thing is I am never ever a stress eater and now I feel like one! Though I haven't eaten off of my plan, I know I have wanted to at moments.

Here's to a good night!
Mike :goodvibes

Hey Mike!

Sorry I didn't stop by sooner... I've not been feeling well today. :(

I think your plan to have one piece of pizza is a good one. That way, you can find out if you really want it or not. Just be careful... Last time I was at RFC at DTD, I ordered a shrimp pizza and told myself that I would just have 1 piece. Five or six pieces later, I called it quits. (That reminds me.... I just got an RFC gift card in the mail from My Points today. Gee, shrimp pizza sounds much better than the veggie shepherd's pie I'm planning on tonight. :teeth: )

I hope you have a great evening! :goodvibes

P.S. Did you get a chance to read the Unofficial Guide 2006 yet? When you do, can you let me know how different it is from the 2005 version? Thanks!

Hi, Mike! Hoping you had a great night last night and that you loved your 1 piece of pizza! I was thinking of doing the same thing tonight, but know that if I go to the farmer's market for my favorite veggie pizza I am not strong enough to pass up the caramel apples with nuts. So, I think I will just stay home and eat a lean cuisine spinach and cheese pizza that I have heard on the WW boards is absolutely delicious!

Please do not become a stress eater. It is a hard habit to break  You will soon require that "medication" every time there is stress, and HECK, we all know you are doing just fine and are having great success!

I am sending you :wizard: and :goodvibes: for an awesome day, regardless of what yesterday brought!

Thanks Tracy & Cam!!! I needed that boost! :)

Last night went very well! I had an antipasto salad with blue cheese dressing and extra green peppers and cukes. Then I had two pieces of a 12" cheese pizza. It was yummy and more than enough to satisy that wild craving of mine. I think I have actually identified what set my craving off. The two days before I had incorporated a few red peppers into my lunch meal which is not supposed to contain them as they are sweeter and can cause a carb craving rebound. They were the only real food difference this week so it was easy to identify them. It is amazing what the bodies insulin response can do to your cravings and overall sense of well being. That little bit of pizza was more than enough to turn off that speaker in my head screaming "PIZZA NOW!!!" :)

And don't worry Cam, I don't think I will become a stress eater. :teeth:

Hope that everyone is having a great day! Sorry I have not been as present as usual on all of the journals!! Still pulling for my Red Team TOO!!!

Mike :goodvibes

Well done, Mike! You identified the source of your craving and you satisfied the craving with no damage to your plan or your progress! :thewave: We should all be that tuned in to what food does to our bodies!

So glad to hear you are doing well. I hope this weekend will be more relaxing for you than last and that you won't be on duty all weekend again!

Hey, buddy, you need to share some more good recipes. I am always interested in hearing about what you are eating!

Have a great weekend! :teeth:

Hi Mike - I'm back from 4 days at WDW!!!! I had such a great time!!
Now ready to get back in the diet track.

Hi Cam!

Thanks!!! I am glad to have gotten past the craving too. This weekend will be a little relaxing come Sunday. Tonight I am on duty (switched my usual sunday night with a co-worker for tonight so she could visit a friend in from out of town unexpectedly) and tomorrow is Homecoming so I gotta get ready to MC the Parade! hehe! But Sunday I will rest...er, kind of... hehe!

As for recipes, I haven't been making anything new lately really... I did make some SuperTurkey Burgers the other day though. I sauteed in a pan with like 1/2 tsp of olive oil some diced onion and garlic, just sweated it until soft and lightly golden. Then I combined that mixture with the ground turkey and added a Southwest seasoning blend and a few dashes of hot sauce. I then cut a few think slices off of a small block of Pepper jack cheese. I rolled the meat mixture into small balls and flattened them. I placed a piece of cheese on half of the patties, then topped them with another patty sealed well using a little water. I then cooked em on my George Foreman grill. Served em with my much mentioned fave green beans. :)

Tonight I think I may need a quick dinner so it will be salad, then maybe a chicken salad sandwich in a low carb pita, some celery sticks, a kiwi diced up in a low carb yogurt. We'll see!

So tomorrow, my dad and stepmom are coming to Homecoming because my sister has a Tennis match and they finally want to see me host the parade. Then they are staying for the BBQ. Since this will be lunch, that means burger no roll for me and I will have to bring veggies. Think they might finally notice that I have lost about 80lbs! LOL hehe We'll see!!

Hope all is well with you Cam!

Welcome back Paula! Hope you injury didn't cause too many hassles on your trip! I can't wait to go back myself!!!

I have told myself i need to ask for Son of a Witch for Christmas. I buy books too often! hehe I need to save that money for Disney and a trip I may take to Texas to visit some friends!

Hope you are having a good one! Good luck getting back on the diet track!
