According to Kennythepirate they can be found by the Backlot tour exit at DHS.

There is a walkway between The Prop Shop (merchandise store) and The Backlot Studio Tour. The walkway leads to and from the American Film Institute shop and movie artifacts. Their meet and greet is in this walkway.

If you find Buzz and Woody and Toy Story Mania, just keep walking towards the Backlot Tour and Lights! Motor! Action! Stunt Show, and Mike and Sully will be on your right. They are sort of tucked away in the corner, but you should be able to find them right past the Backlot Tour building. There are also restrooms right across from them and a food service place on the left. I believe it's Studio Catering Co. It sits up off the ground (as in you walk up a few steps to get to the tables and the area where you get the food). They are really fun to meet! Just FYI - Sully is HUGE. I am 5'10" and I only came up to his shoulders. But my nephew who is 6 loved meeting them!

Your DD sounds like my DS(3) We watch Monsters Inc at least 2 times a day. It is to the point where he quotes parts of the movie as do my DH and I we are going in 2 weeks and this is a MUST meet.

Easy to miss so follow directions above. Also check your guide when you enter, they have more limited hours and they are very strict about it. We found the hours are "meeting time" not "getting in line time".

This is very true. We wanted to meet both Mike and Sully and Buzz and Woody while we were there, and I stopped at a CM in front of Buzz and Woody to ask if I was in the right spot and how long was the wait. She told me about 20 minutes, and I asked where Mike and Sully was. She told me where to go, then suggested I go to them first, because they had limited meeting time and Buzz and Woody were there all day. So keep on eye on their schedules.
