migraine cravings...

Does anyone else get cravings before or during a migraine? I need salt (potato chips) and a hot dog (full of nitrates...)

gonna go lie down but sure wishing for chips and a hot dog!

I don't get headaches, but did read an article yesterday about the medication Topamax. It is supposed to curb cravings and is used for migarines.

Yes!!!!!!! I actually posted something about this a while ago. I get intense chocolate cravings before and during migraines. It's really odd because as nauseous as I get, I still crave something chocolate, to the point that I will make someone go and get me something - or the headache just won't go away - it's like the drugs need the chocolate to work properly.

I pretty much can't move or think about anything when I get migraines. Do you also get blind spots and numb hands? Those are two more classic symptoms of migraines. I haven't had one in eight years, thank God.

The only thing I crave is darkness, quiet and sleep.

I'm on Topamax as another poster mentioned, and I have only had 3 migraines since July. I used to get several per week. I've also lost 35 lbs.

Caffiene....my caffiene of choice is Mountain Dew

It's sugar for me. Lots of Coke (not Diet).
