Might do another live trip report...(ok I will do! This is it!)

Thank you for taking the time to post during your holidays x

We all love a live TR

We will definitely be giving Texas Roadhouse a try in August. Seems like it's better to go early if you can?

I think so - but we have only been twice and it's just opened. I guess it'll settle down before you get there.

Back to Bob Evans' for breakfast today. Sandra was on duty again and took good care of us. :-)

Then to Aquatica for opening at 10:00 am. The park was relatively quiet. Again, enough people for it not to feel too empty, but not too busy. Love the Roa Rapids! We did both raft rides too. DH went off on his own to do the slides - which I'm not a fan of - and we both went in the wave pool together later in the day. Stayed until the park shut at 5 pm.

We then went over to CityWalk at Universal and did the VIP tour at the Hard Rock. There was a corporate event on at the Hard Rock Live so we didn;t get the full tour - but what we saw was amazing. We saw the John Lennon room and the VIP area. The guide allowed us to sneak up the stairs to see the VIP balcony at the Hard Rock Live too.

They have got all sorts of John Lennon memorabilia, including his old sofa where he wrote lots of his songs.

We have All Access membership cards at Hard Rock and so decided to eat there after the tour. We were surprised and impressed by the quality of the food. It seemed to be far better than the last time we ate there a couple of years ago.

We have booked on a 'Spirit of the Swamp' airboat ride tomorrow afternoon.

Sounds like another great day :goodvibes

I :lovestruc the burgers at the Hard Rock Cafe! Yum!

really enjoying your TR - I love a live one, especially when it's cold, wet and miserable outside and I'm trying like mad to stick to my diet! I'm enjoying your sunshine and your breakfasts (although I would have skipped Ponderosa). Have added Texas Roadhouse to my list for next year.

Thanks for posting, it's nice to get away from the horrible weather here, even if it is just for a few minutes. :)

Lovin the live report ....... Keep the updates coming :thumbsup2

Ps ..... Haven't posted for some time as "braving" it in Europe next month after 7 consecutive trips to the World ...... Will see what Tenerifes like but hubby's already talking Florida again for next year :yay:

OMG!

We've just been in Beaches and Cream and a family bought 2 Kitchen Sinks!

Two kitchen sinks!!!

Was it just the one family you can see - mom, dad, 4 boys and a baby?

Do they still flash the lights. Only been once when DD was a toddler and we did have a kitchen sink.

I think there was another adult with them. :)

By the time we left there wasn't much left!

Didn't notice anything with the lights.

I have to say the kitchen sink puts me off I don't know why but I don't think I could even consider buying it. I do fancy the peanut butter ice cream sundae though and will probably go to beaches this holiday:thumbsup2

I know what you mean. It does seem a little excessive.

Another wonderful day! Weather hot - even early morning and late at night.

Back to Cracker Barrel this morning for 'healthy' options - which don't seem particularly healthy to me!

I confess that my breakfast this morning arrived on 3 plates!

We then went to Publix to stock up on some essentials. My goodness, some of the staff there are soooo old! The old lady who was packing our bags seemed to be struggling. I felt I should be loadiing them, not her, but then she'd be out of a job. :confused3 We saw an old boy at BG yesterday who we thought would have retired years and years ago. Maybe their pensions are not enough to live off anymore. :(

Our airboat trip this afternoon was a lot of fun. There were 4 of us on the trip and the captain was excellent. He is good-humoured and knowledgeable and we saw a number of gators and lots of varieties of birds. Would recommend it as an alternative to Boggy Creek for anyone interested.

After the ride - which he extended a little - we went to the Boardwalk resort and then to Beaches & Cream (see earlier post).

We then did a 'mini cruise' :) to the Studios and then to EPCOT, without disembarking,as we'd never seen the resorts and parks from that angle before.

After a wander around the Boardwalk we went to eat at BJs Brewhouse at the Loop. Quite a nice meal although I wasn't over keen on the margarita there - a bit on the watery side.

We have plans to visit a state park tomorrow.

omg 2 kitchen sinks...:faint: we had one between 7 of us a few years ago and that was hard going finishing it!
thanks for the tip on spirit of the swamp, will def try that one next time as we have been to boggy creek 3 times and never seen anything more than a gator head popping out of the water!

which state park are you planning on going to? we have been to De Leon Springs twice and made pancakes, although I didnt last time as I don't like the mixture they use.. we also have been to wekiwa which is nearer about 40 minutes away from kissimmee, dh swam in the spring there at both parks.
Have a great day !!

We did it but it just to try it, its a great novelty but far better desserts out there. Buying 3 seperate desserts would be a similar price, tastier and give a family of 4 or 5 enough

We were talking to an older lady in Disney a while back, she did 3 days a week in Disney, if she didn't she would only just be able to exist. She was a Disney fanatic, the 3 days gave her extra money, Disney passes and discounts.
Many Americans struggle on their wages, they can't afford to put money away for retirement.

We love Beaches & Cream . :goodvibes
Don't think we'd ever have the Kitchen sink, way to many favours and it must look a right mess towards the end.

Another wonderful day by the sounds of it :goodvibes

Wow does that ice cream look good

Great update - 3 plates for breakfast :)

My understanding is alot of older americans also work to keep their employer tied healthcare.

If you are older and have medical conditions you wouldn't be able to fund insurance yourself due to cost and pre existing conditions are exempt and the state last resort option is just that.

So you may only be working for minimum wage but if it entitles you to healthcare that could be worth $1000's of dollars to you.
