I was online today and wanted to see how full my flight was on Christmas morning.

The flight is GONE!! I thought maybe the flight was full, so I went to the manage reservations area and put in my confirmation number. To my surprise, I received an error message stating that there was a change to my reservation and they couldn't display it. It gave me a Customer Service number to call. Have been waiting on hold for 22 minutes. The announcement said that the wait time is over an hour!

They have another flight for a similar time departing on Christmas Day, would have put us on this flight? Trying to figure out why I was never contacted...I never received an email or phone call from them about a flight change. The flight I booked was the only non-stop flight on Christmas Day and was perfect because it departed at 7:25 AM. I really don't want a layover or a late afternoon flight.

Has this happened to anybody else with Midwest Airlines? What was the outcome?

Apparently Republic is going to use Frontier for the MKE-MCO route (and several other routes). If you try to book that flight online, does it show a Frontier codeshare option? If so, you'll probably be put on that flight, but Frontier does have different ticketing options (all same type of seats. but not all reserved). I'm not sure how they'll classify Midwest customers.

Midwest is dropping the 717s, and instead of shifting to the E190s (flown by Midwest), it sounds like they will use Frontier & their A319s (3x3). I'm not sure exactly when this shift starts (I know it will be in place by January)

They are also (I believe) adding a 2nd nonstop later in the day.

I'm guessing more details will be out tomorrow.

I'm on hold with Midwest now since we paid for sig seats & the A319 won't have them. I figure the hold times tonight will be shorter than they will be tomorrow, so I'm going to try to wait it out even though my hold time said 1 hour +

Good luck

Thanks for your post. That's exactly what happened. They put us on a different type of plane (A319) and changed the time from 7:25 AM to 7:05 AM.

They did change they way I had picked out the seats- I was able to change them this morning to the way that we like (2 windows and 2 middle seats-to avoid the kids fighting over the window seat).

Luckily-we still have our Christmas morning/non-stop flight. I don't think I could have rebooked it with another carrir this late in the game for the original price of $79. :rolleyes1

I hope you got your questions answered as well.
