Several of the flights I've looked at are served by Midway. I'm not going til June but for those with tickets, you better check out their info and see what you can do with already purchased tickets.

CNN just flashed that Midway has closed and the employess have been fired immediately. 17,000 I believe they said.

Midway Airlines has suspended all future flight operations as of September 12, 2001. Midway is working with other carriers to reaccommodate passengers and will post details of the agreements as soon as they are available. Full refunds are also available if passengers choose. For full information on the suspension of service, please click here.

Instructions for Reaccommodation or Refunds:
If you have a refundable electronic ticket (Easy Ticket) purchased directly from Midway Airlines you may submit a request for a refund to Midway by 1) email at refunds@midwayair.com, 2) fax at 919-468-1193 addressed to Refunds Department, or 3) by US mail to:
Midway Airlines
Refund Department
2801 Slater Road, Suite 200
Morrisville, NC 27560

If you purchased your ticket from a travel agent you should return the ticket to that agency. Travel agents can process refunds and exchanges for tickets purchased through their office.

If you have paper tickets you must return the unused tickets and / or coupons to Midway Refunds Department at the above address. Your refund will be processed after receipt of the paper tickets.

Tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded back to that same card. Tickets purchased by cash or check will be refunded by check from Midway headquarters.

If or when you send tickets in the mail, do it at the post office and have the shipment insured. Otherwise there is no refund if the tickets are lost or stolen in the mail.
