I'm going to biergarten in the middle of the day. I was originally going to go at night but decided on lunch instead. DH and I were really looking forward to having a beer/wine with our meal. Do you drink in the middle of the day at the parks. I would think it might slow us down a bit..lol.. what do you do?

Of course we do, especially at Epcot. A glass of wine for lunch, a beer at the Rose & Crown.....and I just love the Lemon Citron Slushies in France.
My goal is year is to visit the Tune In Lounge in MGM this year.:thumbsup2
Dh and I have tried drinking around the world a couple of times.....but can't ever find a beverage I can tolerate at Japan or China......so I tend to keep wandering back to Mexico or England.

I found a great new taste sensation at Germany last year. DH bought a stein of German Stout ( keep in mind I really am not a big beer drinker) while a bought a package of those yummy sugar coated roasted pecans and almonds.
They can be found at a kiosk in front of Germany. The nuts made me so thirsty on a hot day....that I had to steal a few gulps of DH's beer......and the taste mixture was awesome. I sent DH for as second stein of beer, while I went for a 2nd pkg. of nuts. popcorn:: :drinking1

Do you think World Showcase doesn't open until 11 to prevent us from drinking it up at 8AM??

I say drink up... it's vacation. And I'm not a big drinker HONEST :rolleyes1

Personally, if I have a drink with lunch, I'm sound asleep by 2:00. So, I voted no but YMMV. I don't have a problem with anyone else having a drink with lunch but I just can't do it myself. ;)

We do! Disney (especially WS) is one of the only places I allow myself to do that because I can just walk around with it and I'm not driving.

We always have beer with our lunch at Biergarten, though sometimes we're seated with "square" families who don't seem to approve. :sad2:

I'm one of the very few who voted that I don't drink. LOL Or at least a mixed drink only every few months. :) I just have never enjoyed the taste of it...

Saying that, my DH will enjoy a few drinks around the WS including with his lunch. It's vacation, enjoy! :goodvibes

I would love to have a beer at lunchtime but it also makes me sleepy. I make up for it later though ;)

Okay I work nights and my "night" starts at 0800 in the morning. . .So, having a drink with lunch is really no big deal to me. I might not have one with dinner because I drank at lunch but so what. . .

I say its your vacation so do what you want with it. . .

I voted drink up, but that's just me. I love trying the different drinks in Epcot!

Go for it!!! I'll be the 1st person waiting to buy a margarita at Mexico.

"Beer.... it's not just for breakfast anymore" ;)

I'll probably have a screwdriver on the plane :o)

And when we get in, we're heading over to the GF Cafe for breakfast, and I heard they make this awesome concoction called a Florida Sunrise....my name is ALL over that baby!!

It's my vacation, I'm going to have fun!!

I'm definitely setting aside funds for a drink on the plane. I'm a horrible flyer and this will be my first solo flight! Hubby's work schedule won't allow him to join me until later.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 On our last vacation, last Oct., we took my parents (77yrs old and 82 yrs old). They had not flown for many years and neither of them made it thru the security check, since they packed toiletries in their carry-ons that are no longer acceptable, ( we almost missed our plane)......
Anyways. to make a long story short, our flight was at 8:10am and within 15mins. after take-off, I ordered a nice glass of Cabernet. Needless to say, it was one of the most relaxing flights I've had in years.
PS....Mom was sitting next to me on the plane and gave me the evil eye
but I just went :rolleyes1 and told her, I'm officially on vacation!!

As the singer says, "It's five o'clock somewhere..."

Go for it:) We had the best Margaritas in Mexico on our last trip and yest they were for lunch.....

One of the best parts of vacation to me is doing the types of things you can't or don't do when you're not on vacation. So having a beer with lunch at the Biergarten (or, in my case, a Stoli Martini at the Brown Derby) is a great thing!
