Middle names

I am not terribly fond of my middle name at all, but when I got married I perfered it to my maiden name so I kept my middle name... I will use the initial, but wish it were something else.

My middle name is Marie too. Whenever I heard my "THERESA MARIE", I knew that I had better head for the hills! My husband now uses it when he is aggravated at me. By the way, I like my middle name.

I never really liked it when I was growing up. My middle name is Ellen, so you have Jill Ellen which is a lot of "L's", then I marrried a guy with a last name that starts with L, so now my name almost sounds like a tongue twister!

Considering the song is come on Eileen...I actually don't get it. I say my middle name and people are like "huh?" I just explain that its Eileen with an A...

I call all three of my kids by their middle names. We didn't plan on it, it just turned out that way. I, on the other hand have never gone by my middle name. My husband doesn't even have one.

My cousin is Aileen with an "A". I've always liked it. Anyway, mine is Ainsley. It was almost my 1st name and I sometimes use it on message boards (just not this one ).

I like my middle name Gabrielle but went by my family's name for me as a child (Gay) and then in college switched to Lisa from my first name of Lisabeth. I'd go to Gabrielle but everyone knows me as Lisa now and it would be too confusing.

Yes I do like my middle name and that's what I go by. I don't like the way people pronounce my first name. It's Dawn, not Don! Hard to understand unless you hear me pronounce it.

I've gone by Denise most of my life. I went by Dawn in my school years. Most of my important records say Dawn D Watson or Dawn Denise Watson and I just let everyone know that I go by the middle name!

My middle name is very common, Anne. It's my mom's middle name, my MIL's middle name, my middle name and my DD's middle name.

I don't dislike the name at all but I also don't use it unless it's on a legal form that requires it.

Yes. I like my middle name...in fact I've gone by my middle name for 3 years now. It's Clare. Not many even know my first name anymore, and I don't mind!

Just like Tiggerlover91, I had to deal with people mispronouncing my first name...and in addition, people would always misspell my name too. I'll tell ya'll my first name on here, but I don't go by it anymore. It's Marea. Pronounced just like "Maria." I've gotten people saying it like "Mara" or "Mar aye uh" ("aye" meaning long A sound) etc. I get enough crap for my last name (see signature) and so dealing with my first name too was a pain in the behind. The name Clare fits me better anyway!

I love my middle name (Jo). When I was growing up, my family used my first name and middle name together. Now most people just use my first name. Some of my family still use both.

Although my middle name is a common one (Lynn), I never use it. My middle name comes from my grandfather (Lou) who passed away while my mom was pregnant with me. They didn't want to give me the female version of his name (Louise), but I was (in a way) named after him. Like many others, I know I'm in trouble when I hear my full name. I run for cover when I hear Deborah Lynn!

My middle name is not bad. Everyone in my entire family has the same middle name, Grandmother, cousins, aunts (and there are over over 100 of us.)

It's my first name that I HATE. and coupled with my second..it didn't do much for me. My name is Bernadette Marie..and yes my brother liked to call me BM..hahaha..NOT funny.

I loved my last name...but it changed to a bad last name..so I really didn't win!!!

So for my DD I named her Julianna (pronounced Juliana) Elizabeth..and our last name begins with and N..so her initials will spell Jen. I figured if she was like me and hated all her names, Jen is safe bet!

I would have been loved to be named Elizabeth..oh well, maybe another life

I use my middle name sometimes since it's more common than my first name. Lynn sounds so much nicer and is alot easier to pronounce than Dania.

My parents didn't give any of us middle names. I've ALWAYS wanted a middle name...I guess because I don't have one. I think I'm making up for it with DS. I gave him TWO middle names...Keith Edward. Keith after my husband, and Edward after my dad.
