Middle grandson coming over today…

I’m beyond excited today, one f my grandsons is coming over today. Due to “this and that” I have not seen him in 4 weeks. I’ve seen his brothers, Ie we babysat the 1 year old last Saturday, and we had the 5 year old overnight 2 weeks ago, and took him to day camp on a non school day.

So, Ellis woke up this morning, and this is exactly what he said to his mom:

“I’m done with my big sleep. Can I go to grandma and grandpa’s now?” -Ellis, 5;55am

On the agenda…making chocolate cookies. Oh, and spiralizing a cucumber-something he specially requested to do!

I spend every Friday with my granddaughter; she is a few months shy of 2. She is beyond wonderful and just makes the whole world a better place. She's expecting a sibling (my DD and SIL don't find out the gender prior to birth), and I know her little world is going to change, but I'm so excited for her (and me too).

Last Saturday our 4 1/2 yo grandson woke up and said he wanted to come to Grammy & Poppy’s to play. He spent the night and we were exhausted when he left but it was wonderful!

As expected…we had a ball! And I was completely exhausted, but filled with love and gratitude after he went home.

The funniest thing…he also wanted to go through a car wash. So, even though my DH had his car washed on Friday, we went again yesterday. (We have a monthly pass, so didn’t didnt cost anything). Later in the day we ran out for something, and our grandson was trying to convince grandpa that the car washed on still dirty.

These days are the best!

My grandkids (6 and 7) just left after spending the weekend with us. Loved every minute of it and glad you did, too. :
