mid to late August ADRs

We just finished getting our POR reservations booked with the free dining package. We were a bit late to the game, so I assumed I'd have trouble making ADRs for our sit down meals (August 16 -23rd). I was surprised to find that I got every one I requested, at the exact times we wanted (and those times were right at prime times for lunch and dinner).

Has this been everyone else's experience? After all the warnings to make reservations early (and I guess this is still nearly 90 days out), I was just a little surprised that these reservations would be available. Is this a sign that it may not be too crowded, or does it mean that Disney might be overbooking a bit (assuming that there will be more no-shows)?

I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I guess I'm just becoming more skeptical/cynical in my old age.

I hope it won't be too crowded. We will be there 8/13-8/18. I had no problems getting my ADR's, but I made them 180 days out.

Just made mine too, and got everything I wanted! Hopefully it is a sign that it will not be really crowded, but maybe it means that all people roped in by the free dining are newbies and don't realize they really should make ADR's?!

Our experience was a little different. We booked at POR using the Disney Visa the first day we were able to. Sat the family down, reviwed menus and made ADR's about 2 weeks later. Couldn't decide between Coral Reef and LeCellier and scheduled Coral Reef (as well as many, many others). Decided that we'd do both Coral Reef and LeCellier and called back 5/24 to add LeCellier. The only ADR available to us as a party of five (during the period of 8/16 - 8/24) was 2:10 p.m. on August 23rd!!! We took it, of course, but I interpreted that to mean it's going to be plenty busy during August.

We are staying at the BC Aug26-31.
Made our reservation in April.
I was able to make ADRs for everything I wanted on the days and times I wanted.
Even changed a few things around and still no problems.
I was surprised I was able to book, cancel, and then rebook for a different evening LeCellier at around 7:00pm
So I am hoping it means not too crowded.

I made my ADRS on Tues for 8/12-19 and had no problem except for LeCellier. Couldn't get a dinner, but did get a lunch. The reservation lady said LeCellier is always booked up. As for the rest of my ADRS I had lots of times to choose from, so i'm getting the idea maybe it won't be so busy.

My family will also be there August 16 - 23 at WL. I have not had a problem getting ADR's. I was suprised that CRT Breakfast was available when I changed a reservation today.

I am praying that it isn't wall-to-wall people at the end of August, but it is what it is, right?

We are going 8/24-9/2. I made all my ADRs on Wednesday, and I was shocked that I got everything at the time I wanted. Keeping my fingers crossed that this means the crowds will be low.
