Which would you choose? We had to cancel our trips this past August and November 😭. We already have a credit for airline tickets and park tickets that expire September 26 2021.

I really want to go September because I’m having Disney withdrawals 😂, but I know it’s super hot! I would go now if we could, but that is the only 2 different times I have to pick from. I also would love to go in December for all the Christmas decorations. I’m guessing I can take the value of our tickets that will expire off the purchase of new tickets.

Crowd wise which is better? We hate to wait so long to go since we had to cancel 2 trips because of COVID. Then again I love cooler temperatures and the Christmas atmosphere.

I voted December, mostly because of the heat, but also for the decor. Also keep in mind that the 50th anniversary is October 1 next year, so there will probably (hopefully) be special things happening on and after that date.

I voted mid September but the caviot is, only if masks are no longer required. If we still have to wear masks in September I'd go with December because we all thought we were going to die wearing them this September.

September will definitely be lower crowds. We have gone several times in September and crowds were great. The heat is pretty darn bad. Like chicagoshannon says, if masks are still required, NO WAY! We have never been in December, but twice in November and the Christmas decorations are lovely. Really nice if you've never been at that time. Weather is usually very nice although can be rather cold as it has been lately. I'd go for that, though!

Yes I never thought about the masks. Oh I wouldn’t be able to wear one in the heat!

Are Christmas decorations up in November? That may be a great time to go if they are.

Mid December is my favorite time ever! It's right before the Christmas crowds arrive, Christmas decorations are up and the weather is beautiful. September would be less bushy but omg the heat. And hurricanes.

My thoughts exactly. September heat and humidity is oppressive, and it’s one of the busiest months for hurricanes. We’ve taken September off our list of possible months to go — late October through late March, maybe early April are it for us. We love going in early December!

Apparently I typed "bushy" instead of "busy". 😂 Whoops. Hopefully you knew what I meant!

And yes, totally agree.

I have been in September Labor Day week. It was hot and rainy! We had fun anyway, but the weather ugh!

Early to mid December is a great time. The decorations are out for Christmas and the weather is cooler than September. Also September, you may have to worry about hurricanes.

We have been in June/July, Sept/Oct and late Nov/early Dec. early Dec is hands down the best weather you can get with Christmas decorations up everywhere. They may even resume the Christmas party. Also, there is candlelight processional narration at Epcot.

You could not pay me to do another September trip. Crowds were practically non-existent, but it was miserably hot and humid. Never again.

I also love Christmas at Disney. I would take crowds with great weather and decorations any time.

Sept is hot. Also storms commonly coincide with a trip which puts flight schedules at risk in a chain reaction. The plus side is because of that, attendance is usually some of the lowest available. We tried it once and it holds the bottom spot on our trip experience rankings.

Dec the weather settles down. A good portion of the rains, humidity and blazing heat retract into a Florida sink hole. It's just so much nicer. Crowds may be thicker but hours are usually longer to offset some of that. Lots going on for the holiday season too. Plus I think each month further into the future holds more promise of things returning.

I'd pick Dec over Sept in 2021.

I pick December for the weather and the decorations but September for lower crowds.

Both are great options. My very first visit was the last week of September and we experienced the very low wait times. It actually only rained once on the entire trip, so we got very lucky! It was hotter than Hades, but I lived in Atlanta at the time and was used to humidity and heat so any time of year was great for me. Now that I live in Minneapolis, I think I would prefer a mid-December trip, only because then I get a break from the cold and snow.

I voted December mainly because, if you go in December, it's one less group I have to deal with when I go in September. LOL But seriously, if I had a choice, I'd go in mid-December over September in a heart beat. The decorations. The weather. Yes, the crowds are lower in September (although, mid-December shouldn't be that bad). But the heat...I mean, it's not June and July heat, but it's definitely hot. And don't forget the possibility of hurricanes in September. Last time I went, in 2017, that one came through the week before I arrived. The only reason we don't go in December is because my sons job blocks out vacations in November and December. Otherwise, we'd go in December for sure.
