Mid oct. lines and weather...

My nephew is getting married next Oct. 9th, we live in Michigan and were thinking maybe we would fly into Orlando, rent a car to go to the wedding and spend some time at WDW before flying home. My questions are, how long does it take to drive to Myrtle Beach from WDW, what is the weather like at WDW in mid Oct., are the lines long, and would this be value season for the resorts?

The weather can be HOT. We were there last Oct. 16 - 26 and we wore shorts and t-shirts the whole time (nights included)...hotter than we would have liked. Some years it's a bit more moderate than that.

I believe it's "regular season." Check www.wdw.com or www.wdwig.com for exact dates.

The lines are not too bad. The earlier it is in Oct. the better the lines are. Oct. is by no means an empty time, but it is a very enjoyable time -- especially with careful planning (fast passes, EE, etc.)

How long from Myrtle Beach? Check Map Quest for that one.
