Mid March or August?

Hello all, just wondering what time you would recommend visiting the parks at between these two? I know the weather is significantly better in March but I’ve also heard it can be a lot busier? Are there any other considerations between these two? Is march still warm enough for pools/water slides? What about park hours/events?

Thanks!

We were there last August - we had to reschedule and that was the only time for us to make it. We actually did not think it was that bad. We are from the Northeast so heat and humidity is normal for August, but normally we wouldn't be walking outside all day long. However, for us, we were just so happy to be out and relaxing after such a hard 2 years, we didn't care about the heat! The kids loved the pool time and we just took it easy if we got too hot.

We also did not have a long wait at really any rides and we did all the parks. Longest wait was Minnie and Mickey's runaway railway. We don't do all day long park - we usually take a mid-day pool/relax break.

I would go in August again to avoid crowds, but I think this year is going to be wild because so many people had to postpone and reschedule trips.

We actually like our august trips. Crowds were manageable (however who knows what this year will look like) never been in March, but spring break frightens me!

Would never go in August, it is way too HOT/HUMID to be walking around all day in the blazing sun. Everyone isn't on 'spring break' at the same time, so things might be more spread out. When we last went in May, 2019 after not being there for many years, we found most days to be really crowded. I think the number one issue remains they let too many people into the parks for the available ride capacity. There are numerous current threads where people talk about that and the new Genie thing really does nothing to solve that problem. Whenever you go, I would expect LARGE crowds and long waits for rides.

If they still have staffing issues and aren't able to open all of the lines to popular rides is probably also going to be a problem.

I live here and let me tell you, I usually won't go in August. It's 2 degrees cooler than walking on the sun here then. It rains almost everyday in the afternoon. I mean a good T-storm rain too. Sometimes it's 10 min. Sometimes it's an hour.
I did go at the end of August last year and did find it less crowded BUT they were still restricting how many people were allowed in the parks. It's more crowded than ever now. To the point I almost don't want to go at all actually but I am a local and mostly go on weekends when it's worse.

If you really don't mind heat (over 90 -95 everyday) and swamp like humidity then you might be ok. Some people don't mind it. As long as you are over hydrated and take breaks you can be very successful in Aug.

March can be very, very busy just because the weather her is stellar and spring break happens every week in March. March is summer in FL. I'm typing this in my office currently and it's 83 out near Tampa. You'll be find to swim. :-)
