Mid December or Early October

Ok I need some help making up our mind---we've been a couple times during Spring Break and loved it. We went last year for a week over Christmas break and loved it!! Now, this year I was planning Christmas again but free dining at the beginning of October would save us about $1,000 or so. What is it like in October compared to April or December? Two adults, one junior (13), two young kids (9 & 2).

More than half of our trips have been in early October and we have always had a great time with manageable crowds. Our trip in December 2008 was good, too. We enjoyed the Christmas Decorations and the crowds weren't bad at that time either. But, if I had my choice, especially considering free dining, I'd go in October.

Thanks for the reply! I was hoping to hear that the weather and crowds were good that time of the year:rotfl2:

And don't forget that October is the Food and Wine Festival. There are all kinds of specialty foods to taste. The lines for those can be a little long, but it doesn't really effect the crowds. Have a magical time!

I've been at both times and my vote would be for December because crowd levels are slightly down then (IMO) and you have MVMCP and decorations up, however, if budgeting is the main concern, that free dining offer is quite nice.
