Need to decide for Work, my vacation request for 2005, and thought I wanted to return in the fall, BUT not sure we want to wait till then. (going in March). Prices go up in October again (like March  ) [bad]. and there is the food and wine fest starting over our time, also mnsshp, but could be cooler weather too. No late nite swimming. Mid august, is cheaper resorts :cheer2: & Hot humid florida weather, good chance of storms, or hurricaines :umbrella: {really bad}. Shorter hours and could run into Labor day holiday weekend? Crowds? But good swimming. Consistant temp's. I'm so confused. :confused3

Which would you choose? Why?

We went the last week of Sept/first few days of Oct last fall and it was perfect! We were there for Hurricane Jeanne, which kept us in our resort for one day, and we only had about 45 minutes or so of rain the last evening of our trip that I remember. It may have rained briefly while we were taking a nap in the afternoon. The weather was very warm, upper 80's, low 90's during the day, and didn't need jeans or jackets in the evening.

I'd go end of Sept/first of Oct if it were me......part of Sept is value season, so the rates might not be higher, depend on when you check in. I don't know exactly what the dates are this year.

I have been to Disney in Mid-August a couple of times and have never had a problem with bad weather. One of my trips it didn't even rain which is amazing for a week in August. I never had a problem with crowds since we always go to the parks when they open and then take a break at mid-day then go back to the parks at night....

I would defintely do Sept/Oct over August. I LOVE the fall. THe weather is warm but not so overbearing hot like August. Plus kids are in school so the crowds are much better. We like to go after labor day cause of the less crowds. We went last year right before hurricane Jeanne and we had a PERFECT weather trip. And the crowds were not bad at all. So that would be my vote. I know how hard it is to wait though till the Fall!! I am going in May and then not till Oct and that is going to be tough! Fall in Florida though is so great. Heck anytime in Florida is great!!!!!
