My Son loves his Microwaved popcorn and made a mess of our mircowave. We just bought a new mircowave and I would love not to have the yellow stains from the butter. I know one way to stop it is to not let him pop the corn but are there any tricks that will help us. I really would like to keep this one white inside. Thanks

Do you clean the inside with beach! I don't know of I've ever had stains that didn't come out.

Maybe if he wipes out the microwave right after?

I've never had stains from microwaved popcorn.

But you could try vinegar.

"Pour one cup vinegar (into a 2-cup measuring cup or bowl) then add one cup of hot water to that.
Place measuring cup (or bowl) in the microwave, set your timer for approximately 10 minutes and turn it on.
After 5-10 minutes (this will depend on how powerful your microwave is)…CAREFULLY remove the cup with the HOT liquid (use an oven mitt!) and wipe out the inside with a wet rag.
A Caution: If you’re worried about explosions over superheated liquid, you can virtually eliminate the possibility of it happening to you by simply leaving some non-metallic object (such as a wooden spoon or stir stick) in the cup or bowl when you boil liquids in your microwave. It may not be necessary, but it won’t hurt anything either."

We've never had anything that didn't come out either...is it always the same brand?

Yeah I don't have stains. Our microwave is ten years old. There is a turntable in the microwave that I take out and wash with dish soap and I wipe the microwave out weekly with a vinegar water solution. No stains.

I'll try this I think he burnt the pop-corn and since then there has been some staining. I use lemon and water even tried nail polish remover but never came white again. I like the vinegar idea. thanks.

the turntable comes clean it's the sides that look dirty. vinegar might be the key. thanks

Thanks. :thumbsup2

That stuff is so full of chemicals.. Maybe consider getting him an air popper or one that uses just oil for Christmas?

We've never had yellow stains in the microwave from popcorn, but if we did I would try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Those things work wonders on stains!
