Mickeystoontown's Gang hits the Bahamas & WDW! Who gets choked or stuck this time?

Every one of the places your son named are places that I'd love to visit! (Hawaii, China, Rio de Janeiro, and Australia)

Lisa,
You do realize that for you to go to any of those places you'll probably need to skip going to Disney that year! Since you LOVE going to Disney SO MUCH are you sure you could handle a vacation in Hawaii or Rio?

Oh well......maybe it's time to start playing Lotto. :rotfl:

So, Lacey and Jesse are going the whole way at once? That's quite a trip!

Love the sun sphere picture. We can't wait for football season to start so we can go enjoy Knoxville again.

I can't wait to hear your park and dining plans!

Well, at least you can hit China at Epcot. :lmao:

I can't wait to hear the park plans --- I will have to compare it to our plans to see if we have a chance to bump into each other!

We also drive...My aunt and uncle live in Vancleave, MS..so on Friday night we will head to their house (5 hours) and then get up on Sat. and leave early that morning for the 10 hour drive to Orlando.

wow!!! that's aLOT of driving you guys!! i guess I've done my share of that sort of thing. We once did a 25 hour drive from our home to Colorado and only stopped for pee breaks and a 5 hour sleep:scared1: However I don't reccomend something like that if you want to have energy the next few days. In order to be theme park ready I wouldn't want to drive more than 8 hours in a day I would say.

I agree. We make the 15 or so hour drive from the Baltimore area to Disney and we could actually make the full drive in one shot, but, at our ages, we would be pooped when we got there. :lmao: So we stop just over the Florida border, get a good night's sleep and make the final few hours the next day. We get there all rested and ready to run.

I think 10.5 hours in a car still sounds like a pretty long time!! Everyone's plans sound great, you guys are going to have such a fun trip!!

After 9 or so hours in the car, does it really matter??? 10 1/2.....15....I can imagine it all feels the same. LONG! :scared:

If a trip is under 9 hours, we feel like we are just out for a Sunday drive. :rotfl: There's nothing around our house that's worth looking at so we have to drive at least 3 or 4 hours to get to anything "good".

Lisa,

Yeah, I know! :upsidedow It's tough when you have a Disney addiction. :rotfl2:

So, Lacey and Jesse are going the whole way at once? That's quite a trip!

Yep, they are going to drive all the way in one day. They are used to traveling with the Mission group and long drives were the norm so I am sure they can handle it.

Well, at least you can hit China at Epcot. :lmao:

Exactly! And I've been hearing rumors for years and years that they are going to add another country to World Showcase so if that ever happens, then I'm good to go.

Hopefully, I can get the plans posted soon. The boss gave me a dictation tape yesterday and it's almost full.....do you know how much an attorney can say in 60 minutes? :scared1:

Vancleave? What is that close to? If it's still a 10 hour drive, I'm guessing it's up close to the top of the State.

:cheer2:

That sounds like our drive to Colorado! Our drive was almost 24 hours straight through to Durango, Colorado. We were much younger then though and we came away with a little souvenir that we named Lacey. :lmao:

We'll break our driving day into a day and a half going to Disney but coming home we drive straight through.

I think we can get over the fact that it's a long drive if we end up in Disney World. :thumbsup2

Thanks for posting about your PTR on our facebook page!

I am uber jealous of your cruise - I need to figure out a way to make that happen for us.

We stayed at CBR in December and really liked it.

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your plans!

:cheer2:

Vancleave is kinda between Ocean Springs and Pascagoula....so maybe its closer to a 9 hour drive...I think it took us 10 hours to drive from there to Port Canaveral when we went on our cruise...

Hey, I popped over from the May thread! Great start. You have put my PTR to shame...I need to make mine more interesting. :lmao:

How great that you get to do a cruise too! I want to try one sometime, but I get motion sickness and I am worried how I will handle it.

That's not too bad of a drive. Ours is about 9.5 hours. But we are from the west coast and anything under 13 is a quick weekend trip. :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear more!

Terri

Wow! 15 hours is a long time. I think the longest distance we have ever driven was about 7 hours. But, I'm sure that knowing you're going to be at Disney soon makes it all worth it!!:)

I'm late but I made it. I can't wait to read all about your adventures!! I love your reports!!

We are staying at Riverside in Oct so I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

Well, Ms. Lisa- How am I supposed to know you've updated your PTR when you don't put something in the title? :) I was two updates behind!

But now I'm caught up! I'm so excited for you that Jesse and Lacey are getting to come with y'all!

Lisa, I was in absolute stitches reading your where and when. I am just :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It sounds like a perfect trip. And it will be extra special with Lacey and Jesse coming for the Disney World part.

Finally made it here!

Our trips are at the same time!

We will be in Disney World May 26 - June 3. It will be our 1st SWW and my boys are so excited. I've been wanting to pick your brain (or maybe Hunter's) for all your tips.

We hope to take a Disney cruise one day and I can't wait to hear what y'all think of it!

Your intro's were great. Even though I feel like I already know you from reading previous reports, you are such an entertaining writer that I read every word!

Welcome! I love having new readers! I booked the cruise semi-spur-of-the-moment. Taking a cruise wasn't even on the radar but I saw the $25 onboard promo and started pricing it out.

I love the CBR and can't wait to get back there.

Vancleave is kinda between Ocean Springs and Pascagoula....so maybe its closer to a 9 hour drive...I think it took us 10 hours to drive from there to Port Canaveral when we went on our cruise...

I know what area you're talking about. :thumbsup2

Welcome Terri! It's pretty easy for me to write about funny things when we have a bunch of funny folks in the family. :rotfl:

John's a little worried about the cruise. With him having epilepsy, he can sometimes get a little woozy around large bodies of water. I guess we'll figure it out once we get there.

Oooh, I like the sound of a 9.5 hour drive much more than our drive. I'm like you, if I can get somewhere in 13 hours, then I'm fine with it.

Wow! 15 hours is a long time. I think the longest distance we have ever driven was about 7 hours. But, I'm sure that knowing you're going to be at Disney soon makes it all worth it!!:)

A 7 hour is nothing so long as it goes smoothly. As long as I know I have Disney somewhere in my sights, I'm good.

I'm late but I made it. I can't wait to read all about your adventures!! I love your reports!!

Welcome! There's no such thing as being late on my reports....just so long as you made it sometime. ;)

I'm excited to be trying a new resort and a cruise. You can be sure that I'll be taking notes and talking allllllll about the trip.

Ooops, sorry! We are super excited that Lacey and Jesse are coming with us and they are too. It's really hard for newlyweds to go anywhere cool on their first vacation and we can't take the extra money with us when we die so why not spend it sending them to Disney.

Lisa, I was in absolute stitches reading your where and when. I am just :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Glad to hear that I gave you a laugh or two Kathy. As I'll be posting soon, I've already changed up the ADRs and things are coming along nicely.

Hey! If you see me anywhere in the parks, just holler at me! I'm serious! I am super bad about not seeing anything beyond the nose on my face so I probably won't notice anybody. :upsidedow

We've been to SWW twice so I may have answers to your questions. We've chosen to skip SWW this trip simply because we don't have the extra time.

Thanks for the compliment on my writing. I love to write especially when I'm writing about Disney.

Hopping over from the May FB page (thanks for posting the link!). LOVED your introductions; I can only imagine how much fun you all have on Disney vacations.

A cruise/WDW trip is so much fun, and I think you made a great choice by staying at CBR after you return from the Dream. Once you see Castaway Cay and experience the island, you'll wish you never had to leave the beach and tropical atmosphere! :beach:
