Confessions of the over-planning Disney trip planner:
Oh trip report readers, I have a confession to make. In all actuality, I probably have a few confessions that I could spout out but Ill hold off on those for another day.
They say that confession is good for the soul so I guess I might as well spit it out. No, wait, before I do, I need to tell yall a bit more about our plans.
As I have recently learned from two most wonderful readers, we are, apparently, staying in a haunted hotel thats pretty darn close to a prison. Im now wondering if I should a run an idea by John. Should we trade in this:
for this:
Just in case we run into one or more of these guys:
Hey, I wonder how much it would cost to rent the services of the Ghostbuster crew for one night?
Im thinking that its been a while since any of the guys have had a hit movie so they may come cheap. May just have to add a little extra cash to my stash in case I have to give them a ring-a-ding-ding.
Sorry, rambling.
Like I said earlier, we are going to be staying at Port Orleans Riverside for our first night and Im (not were because the other part of "we" doesnt even have a clue we are staying there) excited about trying something new. You see, we are what you would call a "stuck in a rut" kinda family. We find something we like and we pretty much stick to it.
Having said that, every year, when its time to start planning our Disney vacation, I start pricing out all the other resorts, all the way from deluxe villas down to the values. Then, I go back and do it from the values all the way up to the villas again. I dont know why I even go to all that work because the head of this "stuck in a rut" family, Mr. John Stuck-in-a-Rut More Than The Rest of Us McBride, is always going to choose Caribbean Beach Resort. I cant say that I blame him because we do love it there.

Annnnnnnyway, our first night stay is at Port Orleans Riverside and the plans are to go to Downtown Disney for dinner. I'm looking forward to taking the boat to Downtown Disney:
And, this is where I must speak my confession. Its a tough one and it's a biggie.
As a matter of fact some on the Disboards would say that such a confession would require that the confessor be pulled down Main Street and flogged with a wet noodle from Ohana.
My confession? I have two dinner ADRs made for May 23rd.
What? You cant read that tiny print? Okay, already. I HAVE TWO DINNER ADRs MADE FOR MAY 23rd.
Oh it feels so good to get that off my chest! Let me explain why I have the two dinner ADRs. When I started planning this trip, it was to be just John, Hunter and myself. I made an ADR at T-Rex. Then, Mama said that she wanted to go, and I couldn't get a dinner ADR for four people at T-Rex. When I asked where everybody wanted to eat, Mama said that it didn't matter and John and Hunter said Planet Hollywood. I made the Planet Hollywood ADR. About three weeks to a month later, Mama changed her mind about going on vacation with us so I changed Planet Hollywood to just three people. In the midst of all the changes, I forgot about the T-Rex ADR. That is, until about 2 weeks ago. Now, we don't know where we want to eat. On the one hand, there's the really cool props at Planet Hollywood:
and our favorite dish there is the lasagna:
On the other hand, there's the really neat dinosaurs and special effects at T-Rex:
Where my favorite was the appetizer as an entree:
Such decisions! We don't know which one we want to keep. So, now that I've confessed, I'm going to make another confession.....I'm keeping them both!
**Up next: We're going on a boat and it ain't grandpa's fishing boat, it's a great big boat!
