I have a son who will be 4 when we go in December I was wondering if MVMCP is worth it. I would like to go however is it too late? we are going to be going to either the Animal Kindom or epcot that Morning. My parents who are going are on a fixed income so I would foot the bill for the tickets (not that I have a ton of money either) so my question is. Is it worth the money to go to the xmas party?

i was just wondering the same thing for my daughter

Last October we went to the Halloween Party. I had a 1yo and a 3yo. Dh and I went twice, the first night we went just the two of us, the second night we took the kids.

We left them with my mom the first night and we had a blast. WE used it as an E-ride type, so we enjoyed some of the festivities, but we really LOVED doing all the rides just the two of us. The Second night we all had a blast. We dressed up and did the festivities with my kids. It was late, but we didnt do anything during the day, we went to Chef Mickey's for dinner then headed to the party.

We are doing the same thing for the Christmas Party this year. We are going one time with the kids and the other we are using as an e-ride. If you have the opportunity and the resources, this works out great!

HTH!

I've been to 3 parties (MVMCP 2 times and MNSSHP 1) with my DDs; the youngest was ages 1, 2, 3 and the oldest was ages 5, 6 7.

We had a wonderful time at all the parties at all those ages. We usually only make it to after the second parade so about 11:30p and usually only the older one is still awake on neither but we still have a great time!

I usually had the younger one either nap or we took it easy that day.

We bring our stroller and we had to bring a blanket a couple of times as it does tend to get a bit cold.

I feel we definitely got our money's worth. It's so magical. The parade, snow on Main street and deocations at night are alone worth the price of admission. But then you've got the souvenir photo, hot choc and cookies, and all the Xmas shows. It's just wonderful.

If you can afford it then I think you should check it out. I think you'll love it.

We did MVMCP this year with our DS 11 and we loved it. It was magical and so special. The day we did the party, was a rest day for us and we slept in, had a big breakfast and resort hopped to see christmas decorations. We took a long rest that afternoon. NOW, when my DS was 4, he was used to a 7:30 bedtime and nothing would keep him awake past 8:00. He rarely napped. At that age it would have not been worth it for us because he would have slept through it. If your child can stay awake for most of the party, I say give it a try, it is an amazing party. You know your child best.

We walked onto Dumbo, dressed up in his Santa hat. Small lines for Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh. Characters dressed up in their Holiday finest (Rudolph-Pluto was my favorite!) Cool holiday parade and special shows. Give them a nap and enjoy the party.

We had a great time last year. DD was only two and half so we didn't stay to close the park down. The lines if there were any were very short. You could get off of Dumbo and almost get right back on again. That made DD nights right there. We enjoyed the parade, fireworks, and saw one of the many shows. There were a lot of Characters to have pictures taken with, too.

I look forward to going again in 2005. It seems so far away!
