Mickey's Very Merry Vacationers Land/Sea! We Are Home (TR LINK)

That is so weird! My DH and I just said these exact words to each other last night. When we marked off the countdown calendar, I commented on how I wished time would slow down a little b/c it will be here and over in a flash and the anticipation is half the fun! You still have time though. I think it seems to go by really fast when your trip is around the holidays. Everyone is so busy then that time flies!

Yep, time is cruising like crazy!! The anticipation IS half the fun.:goodvibes

I'm sorry about your sisters reaction but you seem to be handling it just fine. You know that it's your life, your family and ultimately your decision. My SIL can make little comments about the decisions Jason and I make and it used to be hurtful until we figured out that everything hurtful she says, she says out of jealousy. We are our own family, and what she says doesn't matter. Someday, hopefully, she'll understand.

I can't wait to hear all about your trip. My DH and I are thinking about doing a land/sea adventure in the next couple of years and have recently thought about doing it at Christmas time. Plus, your family is just so darn cute! :goodvibes

Thanks, well your plans sound great. I am a little worried that it may be a little chilly while cruising but am super excited to be traveling Christmas time!

Uggh! Sorry that your sister was so rude! No one understands why we want to go to Disney every year either! That's why all of us DISers get a long so well--we understand each other!! :goodvibes

You're right about that. These forums certainly do make me feel "normal" as most people travel to WDW more than we do.:goodvibes

Yay! Just got updated on your trip and so glad it is getting close!!!

And double yay for the upgrade...that's fantastic! And $99 very well spent IMO!:thumbsup2

As for your sister...sigh!!!! Yes, I am sure we have all experienced this. I try to let it roll off my back, but sometimes for whatever reason it gets me upset. Just yesterday my mom popped over when I was in the midst of going over my sheets of calendars and planning dining reservations as our 180 day window just broke open. (Remind me to lock my doors whenever I have those calendar sheets and plans open again! LOL!)

I heard about a 5 min rant how "obsessed" I become with the planning, how apart from the Poly dinner, she never made all these reservations when she travelled with me and my brother as young kids (yes, back in the 70's and 80's), and how I take all the fun and spontaniety out of it.

I then tried to explain that since we are on the DxDDP, I *have* to make the reservations or I won't get a chance to eat with my family the places we like. She then corrects me that it is really the places *I* like. Grrrrr. No matter how many times I tell her my kids like eating at Chef Mickey's and CRT, it is all just me brainwashing them. (Is my secret really that transparent - LOL!)

Anyway, I was actually mad at myself yesterday for taking the bait and getting upset about her comments again. I really must let it roll off my back - it is so not worth it. I will never convince her so there is no point trying.

So, anyway, long off-topic just to let you know that you are not alone - I think a lot of us Disney fans go thru the same thing with our "well-meaning" friends and family.

Thanks for celebrating with me!:cool1:

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. I did let her get to me for a bit but I brushed it off quickly and in movin on!:thumbsup2

Thanks for celebrating with me!

Been away for a while, just got back up to date. And yes, the "you're going to Disney AGAIN?" comments are so fun.
I learned a lesson a long time ago when God was really blessing one of my friends and that was everytime they got a new car and some other great thing, I thanked God for blessing them and in that frame of mind you are truly happy for them. Celebrating with them is much more fun and really kills all the envy and jealousy that we're all born with.

I can't believe how close it's getting. We got some Mickey Mail yesterday too!
Magical Express papers.
My daughter made the countdown calendar, we are in mickey mode. My son even made mickey head pancakes for breakfast this morning, he thinks he's the chef.:rotfl:

Oh, how exciting you got your ME papers! That means mine should be coming soon!! I love your "frame of mind" in being truly happy for others good fortune. It is so true.:thumbsup2 So, are you starting to feel completely unpreppared or is it just me?:santa:

:santa::banana:WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::santa:

You're the best.;)

We had a great Halloween weekend here. It has been strange weather. On Thursday we had our first official snow day! Schools were closed and even DH's business was closed for the day. However, as typical here the weather completely changed and today we all walked around in t-shirts. At times it felt like it was raining from all the snow melting off the roof tops.

This year Hope decided to be Sharpay from HSM and Faith was Minnie Mouse. It was the first year I was unable to actually be in their classrooms for the festivities but feel very fortunate that I teach at the same school so I got to see them at the school parade.

Here I was trying to get a shot of the full moon behind DH's head but you can barely see it. It was much prettier in person. We sooooo need a new camera.

Today we went to Boo at the Zoo with Granita. We have gone to this every year since Hope was a baby and love it. Too much fun. It was a great day for it. The crowds were the lowest ever! I think we missed the masses yesterday. I knew that was a good plan.;)

LOVE you Halloween pics, the girls look adorable, as usual!!:cutie: How nice that you at least got to see the girls in their parade at school! That sounds so fun!!:wizard:

I can't believe you've had a snow day already!!! I'm SO not ready for it....hope it's awhile before we see it here on the East coast...so you don't mind keeping it there for a bit longer for me, do you?:confused3 ;)

Hope you're well! Wasn't that a FAST weekend?!!

Oh wow. The pics are much bigger here than what I saw earlier. :goodvibes Your sister should go play with mine! :rotfl: Nah really, my sister likes to go. Just not as much as we do. She doesn't judge us but I get that from other people sometime. They just don't get it. When ya get a free dining deal like this its hard to turn it down.

Okay so we're on for arrival night at some point. Can you send over your phone #'s on FB mail? I sent you ours right?

I'm very close to booking our first cruise too! I found a great deal on one that sets sail on DD's birthday. It's a year away so that gives me plenty of time to plan, research....and pay.

Your girls are sooo cute in their costumes!! Claire was Minnie Mouse, too!! And they get to wear their costumes to school?! How fun! They don't allow that here. Where did you get the Mickey pumpkin heads for their candy? Is that something you have to buy at WDW or can you buy them online? They are sooo cute!! :lovestruc

I saw pics of your girls on FB. They both look precious. Minnie Mouse was so fun. I told Faith I wanted to be Minnie Mouse too.;) The Mickey pumpkin heads believe it or not came from Walgreens.

Hmm, I don't remember getting your phone number on FB, I'll check. Happy cruise planning!:goodvibes

Snow Day Crazy huh?:confused3 I actually love snow. What I hate is when it is too bitter cold for even snow.

Thanks!! Walgreens--no way!! I'll keep that in mind next year!! :goodvibes

sounds like a good Halloween!!!! Cute costumes! Now all you have to do is get through Thanksgiving and then DISNEY!

Disney makes amazing videos don't they? I love their new holiday commercial. Faith and I watched it and she said, "wow Mom are we going to do that". I thought she was referring to all the Christmas things they were showing so I said yes. Then I realized she thought we were going to fly through the air on the Disney boat with pixie dust.:goodvibes She was a little upset when I explained our Disney boat would stay on the water. She replied, "they're 'sposed' to have to show you what you can really do".:cloud9: Here's the link if you haven't seen it: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2009/11/disney-parks-unveils-‘its-a-small-world’-holiday-spot/

Also, we came across this Exlusive Preview of MVMCP. Amazing and now we are so super excited! DD9 still believes in fairies and after watching this video she can not figure out how the castle doesn't fly away if it is sprinkled with glowing pixie dust.

Wow!! You are getting SO close to your vacation! I know that I am really excited and anxious to see how you like it! I can not wait to go to WDW during Christmas!
