Okay, so my family and I just returned from Disney, and loved it as usual. But we skipped out on MNSSHP, having gone a few years ago and not enjoyed it as much. Now we're thinking of planning another trip, towards Christmas 2013-I know, so far away!- and although we've gone at Christmastime before, we've never gone to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party.:santa:For those of you who've gone-is it worth it? Are there special characters there like Rapunzel and Flynn or anything? We felt like the Halloween party was sort of a waste of money for us and I'm just wondering if the Christmas party was any different.
Thanks!

We really enjoyed MVMCP. We probably wouldn't do it again, because of the added cost. It seemed as if every imaginable character was there (long lines, so we didn't do pics/autographs). It really did feel magical- the parade, even the CM's outfits. We mostly took advantage of the short wait times for rides and watched the parade. I would say it is worth it for a one time experience, and check it off the list.

That's what we've been thinking too, if anything just go to say we went. I guess nothing at Disney can be a real waste anyway.:)

We went last year, and while this may be blasphemy, I did think it was a waste of time and money. I had told myself over and over again to wait until the day of to actually purchase the tickets, but then got all excited and bought the party tickets at the beginning of our trip. Wouldn't you know, that particular night, it rained and rained the entire party! We did see Rapunzel and Flynn Rider (after an hour of waiting) and met Phineas and Ferb. It was also VERY crowded, even more than the regular park hours, and we were there during the "slow" time. December 2-11. I think we went to the party on the 7th or 8th. If you decide to fork over even more money to Disney, try to wait and purchase the tickets the day of, as long as there is not risk of a sell out.

We always liked MNSSHP better than MVMCP. TorT in park is special, decorations were a little different, parade is great. MVMCP always seemed like a huge expense for parade, cookies & cocoa. BTW, I LOVE Christmas as much as I DESPISE Halloween.
