We went on December 1, 2005 (on a Thursday) and while it was nice, I don't know if we will go again.
The lines for the rides we wanted to ride (Pooh, Peter Pan) were long and even It's a Small World had a long line. However, we rode PoC and TTA a couple of times since there were no lines for either ride. I think if there had been more rides open, it would have made a difference. It just seemed crowded to us.
One thing to be aware of if there are a lot of parties during your trip is that the other parks will be busier than normal. We went to Epcot Friday night, and it was PACKED, as was MK on Saturday (there wasn't a MVMCP, but it was open until 11 p.m.).
