Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Lets Talk Characters!

Some characters do leave early. I know the Hundred Acre Wood Gangs final set is usually 10pm. Last year, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy had finished by 11pm.

Really that's it they go in at 11? Geeze that's quick. What time does Anna and Elsa have their last set?

But don't they cut the line when they think they have enough to last until midnight?
For those in PFH I don't think so (which should include A&E, it did at MNSSHP). I believe they only cut off the "free roaming" characters.

But don't they cut the line when they think they have enough to last until midnight?

Last year they were allowing people to get in line until 11:59pm however the lines weren't all that long at that hour. We met the Princes and Princesses right after the fireworks and were meeting them within 10 minutes.

They did close lines for characters outside. The Aladdin gang, Jack and Sally, Santa, Tarzan Gang.

Excellent! Here's my attack plan: Santa Mickey (if in holiday attire) Minnie (if in holiday attire) Donald (if in holiday attire) Goofy (if in holiday attire) The Seven Dwarfs Scrooge McDuck Are these dooable in one party session? I think after I heard the Santa tip that these should be no problem.
During a sell-out MNSSHP, we were able to knock off Donald and Goofy (together), Daisy (alone) and Minnie (alone) in around 90 minutes. However, we did so during the first parade/fireworks to try and avoid lines (we attended a second party later that week and had reserved viewing w/ our soirée ticket, so didn't mind sacrificing those events for shorter lines). We then rode a few rides, did some trick or treating and made it down Main St. to see Mickey. There was NO line as the 2nd parade was about to start. We saw Mickey and walked out of Town Square just as the parade was about to pass. There were very few people watching from the end of Main St. and we got a spot right on the ropes. It was ridiculously good/lucky timing.

So based on my experience, if you do Santa before the party and then line up for the Dwarfs to be out of line as the party is starting (or close to it), you should have no problem getting all these meets in. After meeting the Dwarfs head into Storybook Circus and knock the rest out except Mickey, then hit him on your way out. (I'm assuming here that the characters are meeting in the same places they did during the Halloween party, where Daisy, Minnie, Goofy and Donald were in SC, plus the addition of Scrooge for MVMCP. Mickey was alone in TS). Depending on how quickly you are through the Dwarfs' line, you may be able to get the SC gang done before the first parade, definitely before the fireworks. And can them always catch the second parade of you miss the first.

Good luck and have fun!!!

My pleasure! Please report back and let us know how much you were able to accomplish! We are planning MVMCP in 2015 so would love to know how many meets you are able to get done! :)

what time does Santa start? It says 7pm on MDE is that not correct? Also they light the castle at 6pm? This thread just made me start a spreadsheet!

We're going the 16th...

My plan is to start the evening in Jack's line back in Circus and then work my way around the park in the approximate following order:
Minnie/Daisy at Circus sign
Donald/Scrooge at Circus sign
Prince Ali & Abu in Agrabah
Dance Party at Diamond Horseshoe (targeting to be here during the Parade when it'll hopefully be dead, expecting to be here awhile to get everyone)

Then it's off to the park entrance to grab Mickey during the fireworks.

Little One will likely fall asleep about this time, so anything after this we'll just wing!

Subscribed to this, so excited for the party on 12/4! I definitely want to come up with a solid plan, the biggest things for me are the fireworks and parade, I also want to do some of the meet & greets, which aren't really my bf's scene, but he'll do it if I ask, or he can just go do some rides while I do it myself! lol

Definitely Scrooge McDuck (my boyfriend is even excited about this one), ideally the dwarfs, if I can get there early enough, Jack Skellington is another one that I think I can sweet talk my boyfriend into. Those are my top 3, I've watched a lot of Peter Pan and Wendy interactions on YouTube lately, and they looked really fun, so if they're there, I'd probably want to do that as well. All the rest are kind of if I'm there and the line isn't too bad ones. We will be spending my birthday in the Magic Kingdom the day before, so I don't think the rides are going to be much of a priority during the party.

First and foremost a very happy birthday to you! Secondly I think that's a great list it looks similar to mine except for Jack we did him at halloween.

My trip is on November 21st I'll report back!

Thanks! I'm beyond excited to be spending my birthday in Disney! The Halloween party is going to have to be my next Disney trip I think.

I can't wait to hear about yours, as well as all the other Christmas party stories, it will help me plan my night to make it the best ever!

I wonder if Jack Skellington will be dressed in his Santa suit? That would be cool. I got a pic with him and Sally last year at the MNSSHP. They are great with the interaction! It would be fun to also get him in Christmas wear.

I hope so although he would be on my low priority of characters to see and maybe he'll take se attention away from the dwarfs!

I'll be headed back to the park for MVMCP after morning EMH and nap with DS3. Do you all think I should prioritize Santa and Dwarves first? That's kind of how it seems. Santa is right near the entrance of the park, right? I might as well take DS to see him first, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
